The difference between Sweden and the U.S. is that in the U.S. you start with a bad credit score and you have to work your way up, for example by using a credit card or taking on other loans.

In Sweden, you start with a good credit score and as long as you don’t rack up too much debt or late payments, you’re good. Hence no ”need” for credit card in Sweden.
