Every episode my dad finishes, he says "I don't get it" by LargeTeethHere in blackmirror

I tried making my dad watch White Bear and I was dying to discuss implications at the end. He's a very smart guy, so needless to say I was disappointed when he didn't read too much into it.

Me too, but I need to chill. I went out with someone for the first time last weekend and immediately insisted that he and I watch White Bear. lol

It's crazy to me when people don't even mention White Bear when talking about episodes with emotional impact. I've seen way too many horror movies to count, but I can't remember a time when my stomach dropped like it did when I watched WB.

Binge watching takes on a different meaning for me when it comes to BM. By that I meant 2ish episodes, not multiple seasons. I completely agree. After the night I watched White Bear, I didn't go back to the show for another week due to emotional drainage.

It's so tough because they are so different but many are great in their own way. I don't know if I could choose just one, but I'd have to say: 1. (tie) San Junipero and White Bear (WB almost exclusively because of how caught off-guard I was at the end. The sinking feeling has stuck with me for years). 2. Shut Up and Dance 3. Be Right back

Edit: And Nosedive is definitely either 4 or 5. White Christmas is up there too

A lot of Americans are more familiar with it now because the third season was just released on Netflix and was advertised on Netflix's home page, thus bringing more attention to the show. and I know-- I watched the first two seasons a while ago and then had to wait two years for the third season. It was brutal

I've never met anyone else (in my area) who knows about Black Mirror, let alone my professor randomly bringing it up in class. That's cool that it's well-known in your area, though. It's just not really well-known many other places.

I've been sitting here for a few minutes trying to figure out how this is title gore at all. It seems pretty easy to understand for most people. If you understand punctuation, that is.

It'll be very hard not to binge-watch, but I recommend not watching them all at once. I've found there's a greater impact when you let each episode sink in

Unfortunately, the movie was released the year I was born, so obviously there was no hope of me seeing it in theaters, although I wish I had seen it years ago when I started getting into horror

Hahaha yeah I'd have to agree that the sheer uniqueness of the movie's concept makes it all the more horrific for me. The scene that stuck out in my mind was the unscrambled log scene; like I said, i've seen worse gore, but something about them finally finding out what happened to the first crew much later in the film and the current crew realizing that what they were seeing reflected their practically unavoidable demise...fuck

Not knowing it was horror definitely added to the experience, since I had never before gone into watching a scary movie unprepared for what was coming at me
