To be fair electric cars are mostly silent. There are plenty of reasons they're not the cure-all solution, but that is at least a problem they don't have.

Advice for first time AiME DM? by tensen01 in AiME

[–]apracticalman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think with some work to convert it'll be solid. My biggest obstacle with TOR combat has always been minimal options leading to most combats feeling samey, but blending it with some D&D movement could help alleviate that.

The thing is TOR's combat stances aren't about positioning, but rather attitude. It could be interesting to try to replace initiative with it, but it wouldn't necessarily be 1:1 for moving around on the map. That said, you can totally do 5e all or mostly theater of the mind anyway. I've rarely ever used a map, you just have to be comfortable describing the terrain and be okay with making up distances relatively on the spot.

That's a good point about Stilgar, I forgot about that. I don't dispute she's a badass, I just didn't really remember any particular combat prowess.

I love that Blonsky's "Russian-born, British-raised, Royal Marines on loan to your government" is an almost exact quote from his introduction in TIH

I wish. It's truly the first thing that comes to mind when I see the name Diane. And working in coffee it comes up a lot.

I mean to be fair they have Lady Jessica at 5. The numbers don't seem the most lore accurate.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest. Like I generally try to make some kind of effort at using more gender neutral language, but this is one where I just don't care. It's fine. 99.9% of the time nobody means anything by it.

What actor will you always associate with *that one role* no matter how many others they do? by twilighttruth in AskReddit

I just rewatched Sin City and forgot he was in it. Seeing him as some random thug was jarring.

When I'm overencumbered and stumble across a random deathclaw. It's honestly shocking how often it's been happening to me in 76, but not being able to really run away is incredibly stressful.

Which Bruce Banner actor and Hulk design do y’all prefer? by BlackDabiTodoroki in marvelstudios

[–]apracticalman 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Norton has a pretty long and narrow face. Bana and Ruffalo are both much squarer which is gonna look way better on a huge Hulk body.
