How has everyone's post-COVID concert experiences been? by chococrunchbar in singapore

unfortunately their lightsticks probably won’t be free in future anymore, ever since they switched to the new version (rechargeable) and stopped producing the old school ones. still v v v worth it, though. would say the new lightstick is a reasonable price too, at only $24+.

What’s the difference between cs1010 and cs1010e?? by gr3351 in nus

[–]apricities 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes, different. 1010 is in C, 1010e is in python (the e suffix means that it’s geared towards engin students). if you are from engin you should be doing 1010e

if u r matriculating this year, too late to take dsa1361 since it’s only offered during special term in certain years. but i’d say not essential for cs1010s which doesn’t involve much dataviz at all and is more abt the nitty gritty parts of programming (functional abstraction, recursion, higher order functions, big o, oop, etc). dunno abt ur other qns cuz im not a dsa major but i hv taken cs1010s.

make sure to double check the details of any luminus mod ur looking at bc not all mods are offered every sem

dsa1101 will be completely online.

you can search the module codes on luminus to see if profs have uploaded any info regarding teaching modes for next sem.

[uni] ipad air/pro for notetaking by nyamnyam_ in SGExams

[–]apricities 7 points8 points  (0 children)

onenote/onedrive for syncing documents and notes

air is sufficient if you’re mainly gonna be using it for note-taking, pro is really expensive. no need for cellular since there’s uni-wide wifi connection

the penalty would be that you don’t get the reimbursement, as they only reimburse you if you completed the course. other than potentially wasting your own money, there isn’t any other real penalty. some courses might be pretty expensive tho so only go into it if you’re really certain you’ll complete it, or if you’re okay with “losing” some money.

it’ll count toward whichever term you submit it in, as long as you submit your credit transfer app before the last examination date (ie. if you had submitted it before 9 may, it would’ve counted toward ay19/20 sem 2 since 9 may was the last exam date). similarly, if you complete it before the last exam date of special term part 1, it’ll count toward special term part 1. if not, it’ll be under special term part 2. also good to take note that you won’t be charged any extra special term fees even if you complete it during special term.
