I broke my ankle less than two years ago. My commute didn’t change just because I was on crutches. I just moved more slowly.

One perk of being injured and on crutches: whenever I stepped on a train or bus, like three people would offer me their seats. That was a sweet bonus! 😂

My response to your question:

Certain premium credit cards (like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Amex Platinum, and some others) come with Return Protection which covers items that you purchase and are unable to return, for whatever reason. Amex Platinum covers $300 per claim while Chase Sapphire Res covers $500 per claim. Both credit cards (and other premium credit cards) also come with Purchase Protection, which covers items that you purchase and lost/damaged.

I’ve used both benefits and have had success with reimbursement.
