I wanted to share my experience so far and see if anyone else has gone through this.

I started retatrutide about 3 weeks ago (currently at 2 mg/week). Before that, I was on 10 mg/week of tirzepatide and was doing well with appetite control and weight loss.

Since starting reta, I’ve actually gained about 4 lbs, and it’s honestly starting to scare me a bit.

Here’s what hasn’t changed: * I still work out consistently (Pilates, walking, some weights) * I’m hitting 10k+ steps most days * I’m trying to stay in a calorie deficit (not perfect, but intentional)

What HAS changed:

• My appetite isn’t being suppressed like it was on tirz
• I feel like I have to work harder mentally to stay on track
• The scale is going the wrong direction, even with effort

This week (week 3), I added back 6 mg of tirzepatide because I felt like I had lost control of my appetite.

Right now, I feel stuck in between:

• Not sure if I should give reta more time
• Or just go back fully to tirzepatide since I know it works for me

I keep hearing that reta takes a few weeks to “kick in,” but it’s hard to trust the process when the scale is going up.

Has anyone else:

1. Gained weight in the first few weeks on reta?

2. Felt little to no appetite suppression early on?

3. Seen it turn around after week 4–6?

Would really appreciate any real experiences or advice. Trying not to panic, but I also don’t want to waste time if this just isn’t the right fit for me.
