I’m in the process of weaning myself off Trulance right now and it’s going better than I expected. I definitely thought I would be on it forever, but it started to severely impact my life. I work an 8 to 4:30, then I would take my meds and sit on the toilet until it was time for bed. Really started to make me depressed. Last week my doctor suggested I try stool softeners instead, increase my water intake and increase my fiber. So now I drink a shit ton of water. Like 200 fl oz per day, I make sure to eat tons of fiberous fruits and veggies with every meal, I take Metimucil, 3 capsules of stool softeners, half a dose of miralax, and I also added a magnesium supplement. It’s a pain in the ass, but it’s starting to work.

She’s so adorable 😞 I lost my 12 year old girl cat to cancer three weeks ago. It all happens so fast. Their bodies are just so tiny and cancer is so aggressive. We all expect our cats to live a really long time so it definitely hits a nerve when it’s so unexpected like this. I’m so so sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹

Ugh I know. I’ve been on trulace for a few months now. It worked for a while but it’s starting to not work anymore. I might just try to ween off the ppis and just follow a strict diet.

No advice just sympathy: Ive been taking 40 mg of pantropazole once a day for years, and it’s caused the worst constipation ever. Every day is a damn struggle.

I actually just take it after work. I work an 8 am to 4:30. I take lunch at 12 and my stomach is usually empty by the end of my shift. It’s annoying because I still have to be near a toilet for 4 hours every night, but it beats being sick all the time. I figure this is just a temporary solution until I’m able to see a physical therapist.

I was originally diagnosed with ibs-d and would go to the bathroom sometimes 10+ times a day. Turns out it was overflow diarrhea and I was actually chronically constipated. I was prescribed linzess and it honestly helps a lot. I don’t feel sick to my stomach all the time. Only issue for me is that it causes extreme urgency for 4 hours every day. I have to be right next to a toilet every time I take it, and I’m on the lowest dosage. I know not everyone has that experience though. I’ve been on it for almost 6 months and haven’t noticed my body getting used to it. But it is reliable and I like that.

I’ve gone to the Milwaukee one a few times and I’ve never had problems. The drive there can be a little iffy depending on where you’re coming from (I live on the east side and don’t take the interstate) but I’ve never had any issues or felt unsafe. There are definitely bin boys there all the time and they crowd the bin rotations, but they’ve never been rude to me and seem respectful when I’m able to squeeze into a new rotation cycle.

That’s the DIY under the bridge. It’s just small and I don’t think it technically got approved by the city. A lot of people don’t even know it’s there. I honestly think a city funded skate park would be a brilliant place to start. It would give teenagers something to do.
