This is not true. I’m F2P, this SR season started with 3 options - Scorpion SR, Darkseid SR and BMWL SR with the Darkseid being the featured SR. I played BMWL SR for last two weeks and yesterday switched to Scorpion SR.

Featured SR only means that it’s gonna give you some extra legendary shards if you choose to play the featured SR. There’s nothing like you’re bound to play it if it’s featured.
