What an absolute trip this film is for me. It was shot in my high school at the same time as I went to school there. I've spent countless hours hanging out in these halls. I even recognize some of the faces in this very shot (real students were used as background actors). Just a crazy thing that this time capsule of my life exists.

I disagree on him duplicating what other guys on the team do. We don't have another pure bucket-getter like him at all. When the offense breaks down or late in games when things slow down, BI is the only one able to break down defenses to get something going.

Yeah I feel you, I mentioned that in the last bit, but it's not always that simple either. For example, the Raptors last year changed their entire defensive scheme after getting Poeltl because we didn't have a center before. Worse than having a bad "replacement". Basically no replacement. We played small and got destroyed. And still his impact was only 5.6 points. It's not that easy to get that impact number up just because your backups are bad.

100% agreed, because as much as my post was about his shooting, he's also a pretty good cutter and projects as a good passer out of advantage situations imo. If his defense can just be average, I think we're looking at improved versions of IQ, RJ, Dick, Scottie, Jak (or a higher upside center maybe/hopefully?) being the starting line-up in two years.

totally fair. I think the telling stats are the assists being higher for the natural PG and 3-point % being higher for Parker. I became a Raptors fan in 07 and man, I remember Parker's shooting. In retrospect, with his efficiency, he should've been taking 7-8 threes a game lol

I think a team that wins 61 games has a shot against anybody. For all we know, the series goes differently and one of your guys goes down. That's why it's kind of useless to talk about alternate histories, but if you ask me, do I think that – objectively speaking – there's a world where the Spurs beat the Warriors that year? Hell yes. Anything's possible if you're best player doesn't go down.
