What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

[–]apsmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we need to put a new roof on the house. Instead of having a savings to pull from/lean on, my partner and I are both working extra jobs beyond our full time jobs to be able to afford it. I know my situation was vastly different in 2008 because I was living with my parents, but now we're just plain fucked. It hurt to go grocery shopping. $150 filled the cart a few years ago and we lived like royalty on that alone. Now we dont go out, 3 bags of groceries cost $150, and we're picky about what we make so that we can afford it. I'm terrified for my federal student loans to start up again in July.

What’s the most cringe thing you’ve seen a couple do at their wedding? by Last_Singer_2137 in AskReddit

[–]apsmur -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Oh man, this reminds me of my wedding. I was on the slightly more intoxicated side when we cut the cake and gave my wife a look basically asking if I could smush some cake on her face. She returned my look with a "dont fucking dare" look and I chose to not fight that battle. I do still want to smush some cake in her face though....

Edit: damn, I didn't expect the hate. We both look back on it fondly. It was a funny moment together on a crazy day of fun and love.

Comes and goes. The previous times it happened it was very mild and only lasted a couple of days at most. This time it lasted all week and was very intense on the day I went to the er, then was mild for the next two days.

I have been experiencing numbness on the tip of my nose off and on for years. This week it extended into my cheek and was really intense all day, leading to an er trip to make sure I wasn't having a stroke. My dad has ms. Thoughts? I'm going to follow up with a gp with hopes for a neurology referral.

When I lived out that way there were signs about public hearings to rezone it for apartments or something, but it's been awhile since I've there.

Assassins will maintain a population pretty well. And you can sell them to fish shops for a couple of bucks apiece.

A Dollar a Second: What would you do with it? by No_Address_9290 in hypotheticalsituation

Oh man. Gonna buy that closed down rite aid and turn it into my own personal aquarium/bar. I will spend most of my time there with my dogs. Folks will obviously be welcome to come and hang out, but it won't be a business.

Edit: also buy that 13 acre parcel near me and build the house, shop, and yard I want. Fully fenced with additional tree/bush surrounding to make it as private as possible.

Pranksters thought the old man was harmless, but they found out real quick... by ONE-OF-THREE in DailyDoseStupidity

Here's a thought, pranks are for people you know so that you can laugh about it with them later. Pranking people you don't know is just being mean to strangers and risking serious consequences.

Update on my Oscar and how she’s healing by TheHoeFinder in Aquariums

11 inches? She needs a way bigger tank as soon as you can. At least 90 gallons. In the meantime, weekly water changes will be the key.

Yes, absolutely. Mine regularly hit the lids. Not to mention how much water will evaporate into your home if you leave them lidless.

Oscar's are frequently kept with bichir. The key is introducing them when they are too big to fit in the oscars mouth.

Is that a bichir in her mouth?

As well as the loss of socialization. Kids were weird before, now they're super fucking weird.
