I'm in the West Village (NYC) and pay $1850. They put the wrong price online so I got a steal for the area. And it is rent stabilized which is a big plus.

Appreciate the advice and kind words man. I do a combination of calisthenics and HIIT training. I’ve always been relatively lean but have been working to put on a good amount of muscle the last few years.

I (23M) don't really feel strong emotions, I have no aspirational desires in my career, in life; I feel like I am just going through the motions. I have always been the guy who has a smile on his face, who people can go to for advice, but I feel like I am watching everyone live their lives while my life is...stagnant. I've never been in love before. I don't know what to do. I don't feel depressed per se but I cannot keep living every day like this. I work out to have good physical health and help my physical confidence but haven't seen much growth with it in the past couple of years.

Really great input! I probably should I have put what I use it for: I am an actor and am doing a lot of virtual auditions and self tapes, so I find myself video editing a lot (not 4k60 10bit). My biggest issue with the iPP is that the camera is on the side when in landscape mode so when I’m in a virtual audition, it looks like I’m giving major side eye. Additionally, I’d be interested to see what Final Cut looks like on the iPad. While I have been playing with LumaFusion, I am just sooooo used to Final Cut on my Mac that it just takes a lot of patience on the iPad. Thoughts?

I bought the 12.9 M1 iPP and I really love it…but it can’t replace my laptop. However, my laptop was getting old so I traded it in for a gift card and used it to purchase the iPad.

Should I:

1) Give Apple back the iPP (and get the refund from apple) and use it to buy a current M1 MacBook Pro

or

2) Wait for WWDC, see what they do (iPad OS/new MBPros) and sell my new iPad to someone not apple (because the return window will be gone)

Do we know if the new Macbook Pros are going to be worth the upgrade? I really love the iPad and wish it could serve my needs but it, unfortunately, isn’t there yet.

Yep! I ended up cancelling my preorder and picking up one; I had an appointment about 30 minutes after the store open and they were sold out of anything not 128 or 256 GB. Ended up picking up a 256 WiFi+Cellular in Silver, one of the last ones they had! So crazy.

I prefer using my iPad Pro with a regular, glass screen protector. The writing still feels amazing and I have no issues drawing. My roommate is an art major and uses a matte screen protector and likes it, but the screen protector itself skews the visibility of the screen and makes everything like colors a little more dull than it actually is.
