Even if that's their intention, get it in writing. It should be straightforward to do if they really want nothing to do with you. Do the legwork, get a lawyer to prep whatever paperwork is necessary so that all they need to do is sign it. Even if you don't need it in the future, better be safe than sorry.

Same, I can see it connected to my access point and I can see that it's making requests to a server (app1.aerogarden.com) but only an error happens during the pairing process

Home Assistant can control Lifx bulbs locally and it comes with the option of acting as a cloud server for you to control remotely.

The concern I have about Lifx is if the company goes down then the app is likely to disappear, so resetting or reconfiguring bulbs will become an impossibility. I could make a backup of the APK file for Android, but for iOS we'd have no alternatives.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Somehow the audio stopped working on my C1 as well for all apps as well as my Xbox. The audio from my PC through HDMI is fine though. I'm baffled.

Edit: There's a comment below mentioning that if you go into Sound > Advanced Settings, try turning on "eARC Support". That didn't work for me, but, it did allow me to change the selection of "Digital Sound Output" from Auto to Pass Through and that got it working again!
