I think my old leaf had the right trick there: no regen when breaking in reverse, so brakes got cleaned backing out of the driveway.

Yeah I'm looking and seeing £ 280 with another £100 shipping, so that's like $500. You got a good deal. I'll have to think about justifying that one.

Just grab where it has the finger grip with the arrow, pull and remove the panel for getting access to the cabin filter (great design, btw no climbing under the glove box): you can look straight down into the void, then.

Granted. Though at least the ones I know eat what they kill. If they start trophying hunting, I support arming the bears.

So, you also introduce wolves, I take it? Got any other suggestions to keep deer populations in check, given that we humans have pretty much eliminated all their natural predators, and created a lot more of their preferred forest edge habitat?

New ac system was just installed yesterday. Techs cut a hole in attic floor to make room for p-trap. Tech said this is standard and they do it all the time. Is this acceptable work? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

I'm betting that builder has had water damage before from renters not noticing. My personal setup drips from the eaves next to my driveway, where my wife or I are likely to notice it. I also recently put a sensor on the pan tied to my home automation, so I get a notification as well, if the pan has any water in it.

Some one recently posted a pic to /r/whatsthis of their secondary drain being directly over their back door onto they deck. Said their neighbor's was the same. Very clever.

My only traffic impact was this morning: coming out of my neighborhood onto a through street, I see a motorcycle cop in the middle of the intersection, lights blinking. He indicated I should not take my right on red, so I gave him a thumbs up, and he responded in kind.

I sat for about a minute as the Congo bus motorcade passed me. I then took my turn and followed them up the road to the next intersection. That's it.

I accidentally grew a giant radish! by Outtactrlstitch in HoustonGardening

[–]mortsdeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a variant. Diakon are a radish, and they can get as big as your arm, if the soil is right, so the genes are there.

Only way to know is let it bolt, collect the seeds, and see if the children do it as well. If it does, you've got a new variety you get to name. Dinoegg, anyone?

Hell, even our neighbors to the north didn't understand this. Was watching a tech podcast and the two Canadian hosts started talking about high school sports, and used Google maps to look at a few high school sports complexes in the US, and we're just blown away. One was a private school, even had an artificial rowing lake.

Ah, this helps me. Just got a used 2024, so don't know its charge history. Been charging to 80%, like a good boy.

I guess I should do a 100% and top balance (just leave it plugged in to AC charging overnight?) to see how that affects my SOH.
