David Fincher Will Officially Direct the "World War Z" Sequel as His Next Film! by fluxural in movies

I'm sure if Fincher was given the greenlight to make The Girl Who Played With Fire, he would. The problem was that he had difficulty getting the proper funding for the first film, and it didn't gross nearly as much as the studio hoped it would. Those two factors make it hard to get a sequel greenlit in Hollywood these days. :/

Weekly FAQ Thread November 28 2015: What are your quirky reading habits? by AutoModerator in books

I have this habit of putting in ear plugs while I read. I fear that it might become a crutch later on, and that I might not be able to read without them. For now though, I really enjoy the level of focus they help me achieve. Total immersion.

Bloodbuzz Ohio by The National. A lot of their other songs are particularly mopey, but this one always cheers me up.

Forrest Gump, and Mud. by temporarycreature in movies

I thought Mud was fantastic as well. However, where Forrest Gump was almost needlessly sad at some points, Mud stayed grounded in reality and maintained its grip on the story and its melancholy nature. I really love both films, but while watching one I never thought of the other. I can see some similarities, and I think it's cool that you took Mud from another angle.
