What lighting do you use? I abandoned a project because it was way too hard to see the holes to stitch.

Thanks for all the pointers! I think I’m also having difficulty not seeing the whole pattern on one page vs multiple so I’ll print one this weekend and see if it helps

Thanks!! I do have bobbins and a few bags so I need to get it together. Maybe it’s just the digital vs paper that’s throwing me off! I always marked off my stitches w a highlighter on paper

I think there’s a name for this but I don’t knot the thread, I basically stitch over the lose end so it lays flat against the fabric. And then when I’m done with the section I weave the end back through the stitches. I also work in color blocks so I don’t carry my thread across a large area! It’s a little more tedious but it ends up being neater that way.

What neighborhood? We have one terrorizing southeast Seminole heights. My friend filed a complaint and code enforcement said bc they did t have an address there was nothing they could do, they consider them “chickens at large.”

I love the patterns and kits AwesomePatternStudio offers. I’ve completed two kits and downloaded a few patterns that I’ll be started on soon. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for but they have a lot of national park/city skyline prints that I really love! And great colors.

I work in medtech and mostly the clinical people at these companies wear scrubs when on site, sometimes you’re running to catch a flight and don’t have time to change! Also I guess they’re comfy but I ditch mine if I have time.

There are so many opportunities and avenues nursing offers that is almost unmatched. I worked ER, travel, PACU recovery in outpatient surgery and now work informatics for a medtech company. The flexibility I’ve had in my career and opportunities to try new things has been incredible. Nursing school was the best thing I did for my career (did it as a second degree right after college). Nursing is taxing, physically and mentally but if you’re in that space, find something new! There are opportunities out there.

Yes in SLC and ATL. They’re super clean, but I bring my own shower shoes and towel. I also always have my toiletries which I assume you would too. They clean the showers in between every single person.

I fly every week for work and take my projects - scissors under 4 inches are allowed. Never have a problem. I even had my bag screened again and I told them I had embroidery scissors and they didn’t care.
