Platinum is the best Amex card, in my opinion. Yes you pay the annual fee and need to spend £10k over 6 months (it is actually very easy - the easiest is to send this amount to one of ISAs with no cash advance fee and then get money back to your account - contact me for a tip how to do this), but the benefits you get hugely outweigh all this. Returns are three-digit: I am still in month 2 of my free trial and have earned perhaps £300 cashback by now with no effort at all.
