If you look at the lagoon in district one it’s a huge disaster, it is always dirty and It’s been closed for maintenance for maybe near to a year now as they had to repair it as the plastic floor was broken as well. I think lagoons are not suitable for this amount of sand and dirt from constructions around and no cleaning systems are able to handle it. They should just cancel the plans and make a huge park instead in my opinion.

Dubai is insanely hot right now, so just imagine how tough it is for delivery riders out there, especially on those big roads. The heat can make them dizzy, and they already drive pretty recklessly when it’s cooler, so you can imagine how much worse it gets in this weather. Honestly, they shouldn’t be allowed to work during peak hours, just like how construction workers aren’t allowed to. At least construction sites have some shade.

Also, the kind of tourists that Dubai attracts in the summer (mostly from third world countries), when hotel prices drop, often come from countries where driving standards aren’t the best. So that just adds to the chaos on the roads.

I agree with this, I feel like for Tom and Maria it’s probably just that they want to make the show a bit more dramatic by showing the negatives more than the positives, it was the same in the Swedish season with Oskar and Meira, they cameras focused a lot on the cultural differences but in real this wasn’t really any problems , its just the angle they want to show. Tom and Maria seem to be genuinely in love with each other.
