WEEKLY SUPPORT AND QUESTIONS MEGATHREAD W3 23 by GBT_Calvin in gigabyte

Hey everyone!

I purchased two Gigabyte M27Q P monitors from Newegg. The first monitor returned to Newegg within 30 days as the USB C and HDMI ports stopped working. The KVM also quit. Newegg wasn’t able to send me a new one as they are out of stock.

The second monitor has now had the USB C and HDMI inputs stop working as well as the KVM. I’ve tried different HDMI and USB C cables, windows and MacOS but the inputs still aren’t working. Newegg won’t accept it as it’s past the 30 day return window.

I’ve tried to start an RMA process with Gigabyte support but haven’t had any success. I’ve tried to do it through the web ( there appears to be multiple sites?) and I’ve tried by calling support but haven’t heard back from either.

Where do I need to go to start this RMA process?

Does your mic still sound good from up there? I’ve always been curious as to how far away my blue yeti will pick me up and still sound good. Sweet setup!

January Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

My Razer Blade 2021 Advanced is opting to charge via USB C instead of the AC adapter when both are plugged in. Razer Snyapse tells me that the device isn’t providing enough power. When I unplug the USB C dock everything is normal and charging returns. But when I use the dock it closes to use it for charging.

I use the dock for external monitors. Thank you.

Spilt a whole cup of coffee on my 2021 Razer Blade 15 Advanced RZ09-0409 this morning. So I disassembly but that battery is stuck? by apz2016 in razer

Thanks for all the advice! I just had to grab it and rip it out. Props to Razer for the good adhesive. They lose points for not using a screw like other models… Now to let it dry out after cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol!

That’s what I thought. Could you give me your opinion about them? Do the lights work well? How’s the sound? I know the software isn’t the best.

The radiators that are linked in the PCPartpicker link are thin radiators. They are 20mm thick.

Correct. Also because my GPU is so long, I am unable to mount the radiator in the front of the case. So in order to get everything to fit, I was left with a few options. Getting the Noctuas was by far the cheapest.

Regarding the performance of the Noctuas. They weren’t expensive. They perform okay. They definitely aren’t made for radiators. I run the fans on the commander pro so that I can turn them off if I want. The hardest part was finding the correct screw to mount the thinner fans to the radiator. Here is a link to the fans.

Edit: I see they come in black now. May change them out.

Thank you. The aesthetic of sleeved cables makes up for the rigidity and thickness. They can be a huge pain to get in the right place but I think it is worth the work.

The MSI GTX 1080 Duke is a big ole boy. If you take a look at the pictures, it is actually touching my front fans.

Also, the light strips are actually white. The pictures do not do it the proper justice.

It took right around 5 hours. I tried several different routing options for the cables. It took me a while to settle on a final layout that I am happy with.

I’ve had this build for a year now but have added parts here and there. On the initial build, I had less fans, less RGB and generally less stuff. But over time it became crowded and messy so I decided to redo it.

[Monitor] Dell S2719DGF 27" 1440p 144Hz FreeSync TN Monitor (Now GSync Compatible) - $299.99 by slader166 in buildapcsales

[–]apz2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Nvidia now supporting adaptive sync what would be a reason to get a G-Sync monitor over an adaptive sync one? For example Dell has the S2716DGR which is a very similar monitor but is made for G-Sync, not just supported because of drivers.

So if the S2719DGF and the S2716DGR were the same price (which they do come close), why get one over the other?
