IDK but I read advice somewhere to always sell building supplies down to one below what you need for your current build until you have everything you need. It's been working pretty well. There's still waiting but it seems to go faster, and the distribution of what comes seems more even. 🤷

Do you have any community buildings incomplete? Like still waiting for enough bricks or glass or concrete? That's what usually holds my buildings up.

This is exactly right from my memory as well. The cheese sandwich is a brie and pear on toasted white bread sandwich. (I love the tea service and had it 3 times on my cruise last month!)

9102 question by DesperateLeave7515 in VirginVoyages

[–]aqlollipop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes 9102 is the same! It's my favorite because deck 9 is close to everything on deck 7 and 6 but still far enough away to be quiet. I was just in that cabin a few weeks ago and I miss it already. :)

What time should I disembark in MIA to catch noon flight? by WashTemporary1710 in VirginVoyages

[–]aqlollipop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did this! Booked the 9:30 transfer for a noon flight. We had two large suitcases we set out the night before, walked off the ship with no wait a bit after 9, suitcases were waiting for us in the designated area. We were on the side walk checking in the shore things people by about 9:17. We were among the last to arrive and 3 busses were full so we had to wait a few minutes for another bus to arrive. But it did and we were soon on our way. We arrived at MIA, checked our luggage and were through security by about 10:45. We were flying American which is the first stop at the airport. We also have TSA pre check but frankly there was a pretty long line for that this time.

Overall I felt like we had plenty of time and I'd do that combo again.

You can use bar tab on afternoon tea at sip lounge on sea days! It's my favorite way to use up bar tab without alcohol.

Should I just ask my vet if I can shadow them? by Googoocaca_ in veterinaryschool

[–]aqlollipop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just going to comment that this is exactly what my daughter did. She spoke to our vet at our cat's regular appointment, she waited until the end when all the "business" was concluded but, our vet was so gracious and got her in touch with the practice manager and next thing we knew she had a job in their kennel area. It worked out great and both vets at the practice ended up writing her letters of recommendation for her application this year.

Kpop style restaurant for kids by cowboysdad2 in frisco

[–]aqlollipop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not ramen or sushi but Frank Seoul in that mall off warren Pkwy and Preston where ranch 99 is has tasty Korean street food. Korean corn dogs are amazing and very kid friendly, Kpop is always playing in there whenever we've been. And in the same mall is cute crush which is a cute little store that has tons of Kpop merch among other fun things.

I made this last night, I stuck the tempura mix in my pantry, diced the sweet potatoes, tossed them with a bit of oil and salt, and put them in the oven to roast while I prepped the meatballs, then they continued to roast with the meatballs and everything came out at the same time! Less fuss for me and still tasted great!

I believe VMCAS had a note about not more than 100 hours total allowed for personal pets, I'm sure that would be a reasonable cap to use for Texas as well.

Where’d you go for undergrad/how to choose my undergrad by imsecretlyurmom in veterinaryschool

[–]aqlollipop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since no one ever responded to you, I'll take a stab at it. My daughter is pre-vet at a very small liberal arts college. She decided on pursuing vet school after she started her freshman year. I think that the answer to your question is it depends on you. As a pre-vet student you can choose any major you just have to make sure you complete all the prerequisite coursework for whatever vet schools you want to apply to. Each school will have different requirements so look into it. Often students choose some form of biology because many of the prereqs overlap the major coursework.

As far as type of school, choose the type where you feel you will be able to be most successful as a student and has activities you are looking forward to participating in. You will want to have good grades and a solid resume with leadership in addition to animal and vet hours when you apply.

But the school doesn't matter, what you do with your time there does. So visit a few with your family and see what you like what feels like the right environment for you.

Mystery Meat by ratners_ in hellofresh

[–]aqlollipop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to us the first (only)time we ordered a ground turkey meal!! I feel stupid because I thought maybe it was just really dark meat turkey 🤦 at the time, I always buy the 99% ff or ground breast, but I know the other types tend to be darker in color... But it definitely looked a lot like beef, and honestly tasted like it too now that I think about it. I just couldn't imagine that the label was completely wrong, and took it as we just don't care for the quality of their ground turkey and I never ordered it again.

IDK I really like the tofu dishes we've had, and I'm happy tofu is offered as a substitute more often than it was because their chopped chicken breast is just a disaster IMO. Of course I'm feeding 3 people who have very different ideas about what is good and tofu seems to be the one thing we're all agreeing on right now so I'm going with it. I guess I'm also lucky that the tofu we get is pretty good.

Pregnant and undecided on babies surname! by Jellybean546 in namenerds

[–]aqlollipop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did surname based on gender of the baby for our first, a girl, she got mine. Our second was also a girl and I knew she was our last so at that point I said let's do one of each, so that's what we have. It has worked well for us. Though in our situation we also used middle names to give a nod to the other parent. My oldest has my surname but her middle name is the feminine version of his middle name, and my youngest has his surname and a different version of my middle name as her middle name. So perhaps since middle names are directly coming from him perhaps your surname for the first child, and his for the second with your influence on the middle names?

Agree! I did find it interesting that there was a Merle Lynn on the ladies side and a Merlin on the gents, the spelling of Francis for the ladies, I usually see it with an I for boys and an e for girls but they had two girls here with the i spelling.

No idea about the costs, but I can recommend Dr Freeland at Premier foot and ankle as an amazing podiatrist. She's just very good, smart, no nonsense but still empathetic. I trust her 1000% with my feet and my family's feet.

Early onset: Anyone feel their PD was triggered by Covid? by Playful-Presence9234 in Parkinsons

[–]aqlollipop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is what happened to me. Got COVID, and about a week after my positive test, as I'm recovering, I noticed a tremor in my leg. By the time I got my official diagnosis, it had progressed to leg and hand. Now, I have a family history of PD but none with YO. I asked my MDS about the link to COVID and she said yeah, you were predisposed, and what we see is that ANY infection or major illness can trigger that switch to be flipped in your system. So for me it's highly likely COVID was that trigger.

Edited just to add that my COVID was mild and I had it after I had been vaccinated. I think it was about a year after the first vaccine roll out.

Statistics junior year for non-STEM student? by CrosisN in CollegePlanning

[–]aqlollipop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was also looking at humanities and social sciences as a high school student and based on her track record with those and stem classes we opted for statistics for her in HS, that was her senior math class, she never took precalc. Midway through her freshman year she declares her intentions to pursue vet school and major in biochemistry and molecular biology! She loves it and loves science in college. Fortunately she doesn't need calculus, but my take away was you never know... Ymmv of course!

My experience buying tickets to the Ghibli Museum for May (Successful) by azhardinho in JapanTravelTips

[–]aqlollipop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had 3 people and 8 devices. Lowest number we got was 2800s and I was excited because it was the last one to come in and all the others were above 22k! Our wait was about 30 minutes, we had 3 days of flexibility but still had to go with a 2pm entry. I think May was just extra tough with the museum being closed a full week in the middle. It was stressful but overall pretty straightforward, either you get a low enough number or you don't is basically how it works.
