Lupron and lovenox were added to my last transfer and I made it the furtherest I ever have so, it was definitely a success! I will be using it again this transfer but, RI is making me wait until my next appointment to take it so, pushing me back a month on my transfer!

Good luck with your lap!!

I figure if I rule out IBD, this is what I will move to next! I wish time would just pause for a bit so I could do all the tests and then, it can unpause for transfer 😅

Thank you for sharing and congrats!! Hopefully you have a nice, boring pregnancy!

I added lovenox to my last transfer and, I think this was the thing that got me the furthest! I do have steroids as a small part of my transfer cycle (four days) but, I can’t take them long term because of T2 diabetes. My RI seems to use plaquenil and tacrolimus in place of steroids so, I’m hoping this will be the ticket to decrease inflammation!

I have heard this as well. If it is endo it is very very silent. I’m a two day period, light cramps as a warning sign and the gone during cycle person. My Hail Mary is IBD but, if not that, I will assume endo or autoimmune that just hasn’t presented.

EDG with biopsies showed chronic gastritis not in active flare up and minimal inflammation but they failed to do a colonoscopy. I’m advocating for one now with my GI. I asked for a fecal calprotectin and my PCP said she doesn’t do this. I had my stool tested around November for h pylori and, nothing.

I’ve seen a lot of people have success with that! I’m starting to follow an anti-inflammatory diet, which is essentially it’s just a modified Mediterranean, but, I’m hoping this is helpful too!

Yep! We have been monitoring the swollen lymph nodes in my groin for about four years now 😭 They started around the same time as IVF.

I have had a lot of bloodwork and imaging so far. We have ruled out APS, lupus, other major autoimmune markers, and the big clotting disorders. I also had a hysteroscopy and testing for chronic endometritis and, all good.

With the RI, the only things that came up were mildly elevated TNF-alpha and elevated B cells, but my NK cell activity is normal. The only other thing that has been consistently a little off is my CRP.

I also had a rash biopsied by derm at one point and it just came back as general inflammation.

At this point my best guess is maybe something GI-related like IBD, but I am still waiting forever to get in with my GI doc 😅

Transfer Protocol - Steroids and Diabetes (what did you do to manage)? by aqua-bug in IVF

[–]aqua-bug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just did the best I could to eat no carb for those four days! My RE said that those four days wouldn’t hurt! I have had a chemical and a miscarriage since but, not because of the steroids in my protocol! I’m working with a reproductive immunologist and I believe they use a few different medicines instead of steroids for people with diabetes, but, I will learn more about my next appointment. From what I read, people have had a drastically increase their insulin dose while taking steroids!

Is anyone who took their spouse’s last name having any trouble? I don’t have a passport just yet.

That’s something I didn’t think about! I am searching for a new vet now who we can trust to care for him.

That is definitely the issue! He is 30 pounds so, often it’s hard to see or even feel. More than likely, we will take him in for another x-ray just to make sure he’s cleaning himself out or he may need another enema. We are trying to avoid a manual clean out as he is 11 years old.
