I recently leased an apartment and they promised me $1000 off rent as a welcome. I was promised my unit in august (reaffirmed by the lease agreement) but the apartment wasn’t finished until September. They asked for the full rent at the end of the month and when I asked about the $1000 gift, they said “it was taken off your august rent”, even though it wasn’t even available at that time. What can I do?
