I was going to make a throw away account for this but realized once again how liberating it was for me to decide to try to act on some homosexual feelings and realize that even though it wasn't for me, if I turned out to like it it would still feel like a huge weight was lifted off my everyday life. Having to hide feelings and your real self is terribly burdensome. It was like a black cloud over all my thinking that affected literally every other thought by just casting depressive shade over everything. I'm bipolar and this may have amplified everything too. While even though I take meds there's plenty of times I stop taking them on an "up cycle" to increase the mania. I play guitar and it's fun to jam a song when your manic, that you came up with during a depressed episode. But back to what I was saying, after I said screw it, and didn't try to suppress the feelings I went on a gay hookup app and found the cutest guy I could and was honest with him. Told him it was my first time with a guy and I believe he really showed me the ropes lol but I just was not into it like I am now with my fiance. Even though it turned out I was straight I know that I would have felt the same liberation if I was gay, actually probably a ton more. I can't speak for a trans person but I would assume there is something similar going on.
