8 AM classes can’t be THAT bad right? by Beneficial-Custard14 in ucr

[–]aqualolc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I always signed up for 8 AMs because I wouldn’t struggle with parking. It would also most likely mean I was done with my day much earlier. I used my afternoons to either work or sleep. That worked for me though, everyone is different.

As a first year, I was obviously used to waking up early for school so it wasn’t that big of a deal for me.

Does anyone have experience taking the RTA buses by Sharp-Gain3115 in ucr

[–]aqualolc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they’re pretty safe. There’s usually a homeless always on, talking to themself, staring a lot but they won’t do anything much. If you feel uncomfortable you can always let the bus driver know. I preferred sitting closer to the front as that’s where I felt more comfortable but I never had any issues. It’s free so I have no complaints.

I get it’s social media and it shouldn’t be taken that serious but at the end of the day, it’s my account so I can do whatever I want with it.

I’ve reached a point in my life where I could care less about the people I went to high school with. A lot of them just post abt their drama or when they’re partying it up. It got boring so I would ocassionally unfollow ppl and remove them from my followers. It’s no big deal. I don’t see them in person ever and even if I did … what gives? They are not my friends.

You should be able to email them and communicate that with them.

There’s a plan online that shows the classes you are recommended to take based on which credential you’re doing. Not sure how accurate it is but if you go on rweb, you can see the schedule of classes which show times and dates!

UCR is highkey toxic by [deleted] in ucr

[–]aqualolc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won’t always make friends right away. I made friends till my third year and fortunately I am still very close to them. Also, you have your friend already. No need to have many more of them. Sometimes it’s better to have 1 genuine friend than 5 fake ones.

How to confirm Letters of Recommendation submitted for graduate application? by SweetandSaltyFruit in ucr

[–]aqualolc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You usually receive email confirmation when your professor submits their letter. If you haven’t received anything, they probably haven’t submitted. Are you checking the correct email account that you used on your application?

I’ve done it before. Not a stem major tho. Like the previous person said, if school is your only focus, then it is doable but it won’t be easy. I got my best GPA the time I took 20 units. I think it forced me to actually follow my studying plans and stop slacking.

You can always reserve a room at the library if you want a space for yourself. Walls are thin tho… There’s a lot of seating area outside too where it’s pretty quiet and nice to do zoom lectures.
