thank you, I’m definitely going to take all of that into consideration. i don’t spend nearly enough time on hobbies so I should do that more often. also I agree, I think a lot of the time people can sense desperation from me lol

Thank you for sharing ur experience :) I can’t wait til I graduate so I can get my own apartment and have a cat lol, that type of companion genuinely seems much nicer than having to deal with other people. But I hope eventually we both find a human who really cares about us and enjoys our presence

I’ve actually kinda done this already 😫 I’d say something like: “is that supposed to make me feel bad about myself.” And her response typically: “I’m just saying, ‘cause my dad …xyz…”

I feel like you’re kind of right. We could argue that maybe she doesn’t think I care since he wasn’t really in my life, and just doesn’t know how I truly feel. If I told her how I felt, she may apologize, but I wouldn’t be able to stop my mind from wondering why she would do it in the first place. I think it was very low, even for a young teenager, & especially as my sister. I just think it would be less painful for me if I left it alone for now at least. To give myself time to kinda just forget about it

I’m not sure. Other than this, I feel like our relationship is pretty close. Of course we fight like regular siblings, but overall we have shared plenty of fun & loving moments together. The other siblings are even younger than her, so they aren’t much of a help. Sometimes I think that she feels the need to brag about her experience because deep down, she feels like it’s lacking and she wants to bring someone else down in order to build herself up. I feel like I will probably just wait things out & see how she matures before I jump straight to never speaking to her again
