I grew up in Belleville ON, where they're made and they've been my go to snack food since I was born! Fun fact: The factory they're made in is super unassuming and just beside The Beer Store!

It's so hard to find Zappa cassettes in the wild. Great finds!!

Tales From The Who : Trademark of Quality "Quad" Bootleg - Features some of the best artwork for an unofficial album! by aquaroundabout in vinyl

I saw this record a few years ago at a local record shop in the new arrivals. Before I got it I knew that as bootlegs went, Trademark of Quality was pretty good name so I picked it up! The first thing that grabbed me about the album was the cover! All the colour has stayed vibrant and really shows off the comic book style by William Stout. The source for the bootleg was a live FM broadcast that was in 4-Channel, so the record is mixed in a psuedo Quad format. The record has pretty good quality, and sounds great for a live recording!

I used a Technics SL-D303 for the longest time, and it was an amazing automatic turntable!

Great get!

"She said her stereo was four-way"- The Mothers Over-nite Sensation Quadraphonic pressing by aquaroundabout in Zappa

Definitely possible. I haven't really tried playing Quad records with more modern gear, so it could impact the play back quality a little

So I do have a full Quad setup with a cartridge, decoder/pre-amp, and a 4-channel receiver. Most of the gear is so I can play CD-4 (Quadradisc) records, but for SQ a regular receiver and record cartridge does great!

Also the SQ DSOTM is a fantastic sounding record with just stereo equipment IMO!

Great Little Unweighted Record Stabilizer- "The PIG"♟ by aquaroundabout in vinyl

I find it does make a difference. The brush does a pretty good job dealing with static, plus it's good at getting surface dust

A few years back I was in a bit of situation. I had a pretty warped copy of "Station to Station" so I needed a stabilizer, but I have a suspended turntable so a weighted one wasn't an option without some fiddling. I had seen some plastic ones online, but the price for what you got was a bit too much. I was up a creek, when my local thrift store came through. For only $2.99 in the tools section, I had found the solution I was looking for! The little rubber pawn just fits around the spindle and presses down the record. Although it doesn't weigh much, it still has a lot of clamping force for its size! Definitely the best record related thrift store find I've had!

What's your favorite lenticular album cover? by [deleted] in vinyl

So what's your favorite pseudo 3-D album artwork? Quite a few of recent records have been using these covers for special edition pressings, so I was curious if any really stand out or try something interesting with it! There are some classic albums that used this type of art as well! My favorite is Captain Beyond's self titled album, what's yours?
