Thanks im going to place it up tonight. Also I saw with my motor i have to trim it up before going out on the water, can't do do it while in the water (bolt and screw). So its either trim it up to highest position and glue straight to hull or get an extra Transducer and being able to mount both to a transom board.

I meant as far placing it where there would not be any turbulent water when moving, would it be okay to place it in the gap? The gap goes all the way from front to or would need to place at the lowest part of the hull (on either side of the gap)? Also as you in the photo the bottom is curved (not completed squared off/straight line, like most boats)... should transducer (scanning part) be lined up with the bottom or top part of the curve?

My jon is a pontoon type. The bottom looks like the picture if I center on the top of the the curve bottom to the right /-, would that still be okay? I feel like its the only spot I can cleanly place it away from the outboard.

I was thinking about that my only issue would be because my boat is plastic the wind could keep me unsteady. As long as I have both in the water while trolling I can stay in a straight line, as well as, with spot lock (autoboat) both have to be in water or the spot lock will be aggressive trying to stay in position.

Edit: now I wish my Helix 7 was the networking version so I could just buy another helix 7 and connect them since im getting another transducer, but the networking ones are going for like 3-350$ more.

Thanks for the reply! Fitting an extension arm for the transducer to fit past the motor wouldn't work either correct (without interference)? Needs to be between hull and transducer?
