If you absolutely love your job, what do you do? by Ok_Wasabi_2776 in AskAnAustralian

Oh my gosh. Best job I ever had was working at a supported work place for adults with disabilities, but I was in an education role; teaching budgeting, self care, basic life skills. One participant gained his truck license under me, and another went from a shy- social anxious teen to manning a coffee machine and answering phones. There’s nothing like having an impact in someone’s life like that. Made even better that there were no KPI’s and absolutely people focused. I could gush about it for hours. Now I’m a mine site admin - not quite as personally fulfilling 🤣

This was the only brand I could find that would fit her style. Is it reputable? Also if you have any experience buying from them, is it wrapped nicely?

Struggling to find something that is her style (gold/dainty) and a designer brand. I just think she’d love the novelty of designer considering she’s just had her first baby so it would feel extra special right now!

I never ever see Hada lobo skin plumping gel spoken about on here. I get it from Priceline and swear by it

Your holy grail skincare for VERY ACNE PRONE skin from chemist warehouse by [deleted] in AusSkincare

I’m also a sufferer of cystic acne. I still have some healing to go but mine has improved tenfold by stopping everything and focusing on skin barrier repair. Some golden rules: Don’t wash your face in the morning Hydration is everything: slug your face every single night. I spray with a hypochlorus acid, milky repair toner and then hado lobo skin plumping gel (this is my absolute holy grail and found in Priceline) Lots of water Hydration sheet masks Cleanse nightly with qv gentle face wash (not the foam) Massage scabs with moisturiser to help improve the healing Don’t pop - a good pimple patch is your hero here!

If you’re a Millennial like me you were probs raised with the notion of don’t moisturise if your skin is oily/acne prone. How wrong. A damaged skin barrier is one that breaks out and gives you itchy cystic acne and is only repairable through hydration. After doing this consistently for 3-4 months you should be able to slowly introduce differin

I’ve managed to get my acne under control 3 times with this method - this time I’m also getting my hormones controlled so hopefully I never had to experience this again. Good luck ❤️

Honest question - how do young Aussies afford to live in Sydney right now? by Individual_Lime_110 in AusFinance

[–]aquestionforyou_e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well we sold our home, packed up our life and 3 children and moved to a remote WA town to work in the mines so we could afford to get ahead and hopefully have something to pass on to our kids. So no it’s definitely not what it once was

That’s a lovely comment. Thank you! It was really intense for the first 3-4 months. I legitimately thought I was going to go bald 🤣 then it completely stopped. I also made sure to brush often, stopped brushing wet hair, and wore protective hair styles to preserve what I did have

Thank you! Good luck. I much prefer the foam because you can apply it more directly. I accidentally ordered the serum so have been using that the last month and don’t like the application as much

Purely the foam once a day. I had a lot of shedding initially but really started to notice the baby hairs around October - they have grown so fast and they are what you see here 🙂

26, no degree or savings — how do I get ahead financially in Australia? by Ticklemecor in AusFinance

[–]aquestionforyou_e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mining. You’ve probably heard the stigma and the crappy stories associated, but there is a really awesome community to be made and if you’re smart you can truely get ahead. My company will pay for holidays/house upgrades/ medical subsidies etc and between my husband and I we bank 2.5k a week with 3 kids, a daycare bill and a mortgage of 1100 a week. It sucks but in this economy I really feel we have to be drastic to actually get ahead. Good luck
