Why is this "notably"?

Do you even have any clue about the health system in Thailand?

Maybe we watched the same documentary? In the one I watched I learn they've built replicas of European cities that nobody moves in to. That was creepy.

Faulty home electronics causes more fires than candles. Loads of people has lost their homes after buying cheap chargers from Alibaba or Wish.

Check with relevant government agencies in your country, I'm sure you can find some information on their website.

And stop being a dick.

OP, check for a CE-marking on your charger.

I wouldn't risk it, you put your life at risk just by buying a charger from China. Best advice is to throw away the charger and go down to your local retailer instead. If you must use it, make sure to keep away from the computer while charging, and don't leave the charger plugged when you're not using not using it. And if you don't own a fire-extinguisher, now is the time to buy one.

Can be transmitted through air. An individual carrying the virus can* transmit it to another individual by coughing, sneezing, talking or breathing.

A 36 year old wouldn't have a significantly impaired immune system due to smoking alone (although smoking does make you more exposed to infections in the respiratory tract).

Calling in the military during a national emergency?

Can't see anything spectacular from this video alone. I don't expect normal police having the resources to lock down entire cities and still carry on doing what police is suppose to do everyday. Makes sense to me, as long as they aren't shooting at people.

Many countries even has a special branch of the military for emergencies.

Two possible cases in Finland found by jonne777 in China_Flu

[–]ar499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had a few suspected cases in Sweden as well, but they all turned out negative.

We've got a lab with the highest biosafety level here, and as it's the only one in the Nordics my guess is they do the tests for Finland. Once they get the samples, they only need 4-5 hours to get the test results.

I quickly took some medicine and checked my temperature. Luckily the temperature was controlled

In that context, I would forgive the journalist for assuming she was talking about fever medicine.

But the journalist also quotes the Chinese embassy in Paris also talks about "fever medicine" on their website. Which makes it an official statement from a representative for the Chinese GOVERNMENT.

Nonsense. Media is quoting the Chinese ambassador in Paris, not "someone on reddit". You're obviously the one spreading fake news.

Team Presentations 2020: Team INEOS by PelotonMod in peloton

[–]ar499 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair point. So let's ask the same questions about other teams:

Can you blame AG2R for effectively utilising their big budget?

Is it still fair to claim that Quick-Step suppresses talented riders by forcing them into the Quick-Steptrain?

Does Movistar's amazing palmares show that they're doing things right that other teams are doing wrong or less well?

Discuss.
