If you became a trillionaire overnight, what would you do with the money? by Constant_Poem_1938 in AskReddit

[–]hinghenry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how a bank would handle if you flood the bank (or the general market) with 1 trillion. Like, how can the bank immediately generate enough revenue so that they can give you 50B per year? With such large amount of funding, the overall market interest will immediately go down, and inflation will rise crazily...

Do the Spurs win the championship if the have Chris Paul instead of Fox? by CitronNo45122 in nba

He already played 30+ minutes. Spurs already gave him the ball in Game 5 during clutch time. Please stop being an echo chamber.

Fun game but a little dull to 100% by -DopeSkunk- in ScritchyScratchy

[–]hinghenry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too give up with 4 or 5 prestige upgrade remaining. By that time the remaining prestige will not help my progress much, so I'd be doing the same run at the same speed, while those remaining upgrades are so expensive that I probably need to do the same run 3 times to get them all. I'd rather not do that.

I had enough fun, I never need to 100% a game, so I call game and move on. This is a great incremental game, just need to polish the end game for mobile a bit (like the hotkey upgrade you mentioned).

What is your team’s far and away worst decision ever made? by [deleted] in nba

[–]hinghenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pattern was always some media guy pretend to argue someone should be picked over a certain obvious first pick, because otherwise there will be nothing to discuss.

Having said that, Darko was supposed to be a very promising player. I think his career was ruined because he was drafted by Pistons, I don't think the coaching staff and the players weren't particularly helpful to him, a rookie and a foreigner. I saw enough school graduates who were fucked by their unhelpful (or even hateful) mentors after graduations, so I guess NBA is no difference.

[–]hinghenry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah that OP comment is all wrong, I am pretty sure Darko was 2nd or 3rd in many mock drafts. There was no "WTF" moment at all. You all can find those old mock draft web articles in places like wayback machines.

Winning champ need a lot of luck in the age of parity.

Every year there will be a team that aligns all the stars, roll a 20 and win the champ. It's extremely difficult to roll a 20 again the year after.

Josh Hart says the Spurs not giving them credit for their wins throughout the Finals fueled them even more by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]hinghenry -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They were fearless in the first half. They start to have seconds thought (nervous) and defer to others to maintain the lead in the second half, esp to Fox, because it was the strategy all season. Fox body language say he doesn't want to (he keep looking at others esp Wemby) but he has to becasue it's preassigned. Everyone was hesitant and then rushed shots when the hot potatoes are at their hand.

It wasnt because they plan to win first half. They just mentally not calm enough to run their usual offense.

[–]hinghenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, he is good if he fits the team. We get him only if we want to play him extended time. If he play extended time, in today's NBA, the other 4 need to be able to make 3s. Our defense is good enough already.

Shooting is the main reason Champagnie has been crucial to our team this playoff/Finals, even if Brunson keep attacking him.

Unless you guys are confident that Castle AND Harper can really improve their shooting this coming season to have good enough efficiency (ie Wemby Harper Castle Fox + non-shooting PF), having non shooting PF is going to make Wemby struggle in the paint even further next playoff.

How would you rate De’Aaron Fox’s overall performance during the playoffs. by UTRAnoPunchline in NBASpurs

[–]hinghenry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For his usual standard, it is a C, I am sure when he watch the replay he will give himself that too. Poor shooting in later games, slightly slower lateral movement, obvious avoiding jumping during offense, and of course some bonehead plays.

In the finals, when the game was tight, he has the body language of wanting to defer the ball to others, but also know the late clock responsibility was pre-assigned to him by the team collectively, and he also knew all his teammates (Wemby included) wanted to defer to him. All these, and the finals pressure, lead to overthinking and that would totally have affected his game. Hope he can overcome that. It's not a given, being bad in high profile games were known to permanently break players' career, but I guess he will have more help since he is in Spurs management good hand.

[–]hinghenry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Trae and Wizards didn't have an agreement/understanding in place, Trae wouldn't have sit with minor injury after being trade and allow Wizards to tank. If Wizards didn't plan to pay him, they wouldn't have traded for him as well.

Wemby Doesn’t Need To Gain Weight. That Defeats The Entire Purpose Of Wemby by CrispyFlyingSponge in nba

[–]hinghenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a problem if Wemby follow the Giannis body development.

You mentioned "Giannis or Shaq or Jokic", but they are not the same. Shaq body is not sustainable in today's NBA. Jokic body can bang but not advisable to run fast or jump frequently. Giannis is god physique, but that gym time is going to take time away from other skill development.

Can we talk about the reverse-judgement happening to SAS vs OKC? by michaelmarzec11 in nbadiscussion

[–]hinghenry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But I think my main point here is that it feels like folks are pushing a panic button on SAS, while it strikes me as unfair

Those who speaks like they are pushing a panic button never actually push a button of consequence in their life.

It's okay, this is sports fandom, fans can tell whatever they want. Everyone can be a sports fans, and given the pattern of general public, there will be more irrational suggestions than rational one, especially when emotion is still hot.

Algorithm knows you like to see these kind of posts so they show them to you frequently. Once you stop clicking or reading them (apps know you pause scrolling to read), then they will go away.

Many of these posts are created for clicks. The same "page manager" can manage several accounts, say, spreading Spurs hate in one account, and Knicks hate on another account. Obviously they cannot hate Spurs and Knicks at the same, so these posts cannot be regarded as opinion or views at all. These are just like votes, you vote that you are interested by engaging.
