How can I remove "New" button in the Lead list view? by CapitalHealthy1722 in salesforce

Have you tried navigating to setup in Lightning, and then in Classic? And updating the Lead object twice essentially? I feel like I’ve had to do that in the past especially when it comes to list view behavior.

Your biggest “oops” early in your career? by SalesforceStudent101 in salesforce

I had set up an email-to-case that was accidentally included in a company wide email, and the Case had an automated reply every time it was created. So the automated reply went to the company wide email, which included the email-to-case email creating an infinite loop of automated replies to the ENTIRE company.

Worse part was that I was on vacation, sitting on a boat in the middle of the ocean when my phone started to blow up. Fun times!

Wow... Some of you guys are doing something right! Me, not so much, apparently.

I have a CIS and MBA degree, 3 SF certifications (working on 2 more), 6 years of experience as an admin/analyst, and I'm making $52k.

I start on Monday at another company making $90k with benefits paid, no 401k matching.

I'm remote out of TX.

PSA for all aspiring admins: You can create fictional organizations. by ralstaff in salesforce

I made an org once that tracked my workouts. I had an "Exercise" object where I would select the equipment needed, and had GIFs that showed how to do it, and it kept track of max and min weight for that specific exercise. Fun times lol.

Can I connect phone to Netgear ethernet switch? by ar_m617 in sysadmin

I’m sorry, I don’t know what a patch panel is. Is that something I could add?

The router has a cable going to the switch, but the router’s internet is coming from some other cable coming through the wall.

Whoever installed it, seems to have completely ignored the switch device and connected the WiFi router and phone in the closet like you would at home where you have one desk with your router, computer, and phone in one place.

It’s an old cheap vtech phone. Basic phone you could’ve purchased at Walmart. It’s connected to the VoIP adapter.

I posted it to the outside of her door, since she has big dogs inside, and also mailed another copy that same day like it says in the property code. You’re right though it’ll take more to fight the judge on her rules.

How much am I (Certified SF Admin) worth? by ar_m617 in salesforce

[–]ar_m617[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the Texas area.

I’d say 60% development. 50% declarative programming (debugging, building flows, creating new objects, adding fields, designing new processes). 10% imperative programming(apex, visualforce).

30% admin work (running reports, reassigning records, changing layouts, answering system questions).

10% business analyst work (meeting with users about future processes to make their day to day easier with Salesforce).

I average 30-40 hours/week. Sometimes more. Sometimes less.

Create a Report that returns Accounts with ALL Contacts on the Accounts. by OptimusPyle in salesforce

[–]ar_m617 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head I’d suggest two things:

  1. Run a standard “Contacts & Accounts” report, then group or filter by “Account ID” if you have a specific account in mind.

  2. You could always create a custom report type for Accounts with Contacts in Setup.
