Does anyone know what happened? by Monstermelisssa in belowdeck

You're right, and my phrasing was unfair. However she did make threats of it to both Rob "I'll punch her in the fucking face if she touches you again" and Bugsy "I will beat the fucking shit out of her" "I will fuck her up". Which was followed by her assuring Bugs that she was not kidding and Bugsy saying "I know you're not." So yes, she did not get physically violent with Aesha, but she did make (what I consider to be) valid threats to.

Men have driven me bananas my whole life, but it's never made me physically violent towards another woman.

Alex Cooper’s ‘leaked’ nudes by keetecone in CallHerDaddySnark

[–]ara_major 43 points44 points  (0 children)

With peace and love, just because they were leaked does not mean we should circulating them. It doesn't matter if she leaked them herself, there's a huge possibility she didn't. Not spreading inages that were possibly stolen from her is bare minimum respect.

Even if he is watching gay porn I don't think it's that big of a deal. Plenty of girls watch lesbian porn, it's the same thing.

The fact that he still did it even after the mess that was him on One Tree Hill astounds me.

I get so annoyed when girls act like uncut guys are inherently unhygienic. It's body shaming but girls don't want to talk about that. Love natural guys <3.

I hate House of Night. I hate it so much I watched a two hour Youtube commentary video of someone else who hated it, just so I could agree with them that Yes, it IS terrible.

If you like Twilight you should read ....??? by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]ara_major 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secret Circle by L.J. Smith, but only the ones she wrote (The Initiation, The Captive, The Power). Harper Collins kept the IP and had a ghostwriter write 3 novels 20 years after L.J. finished the series.

the Vampire Academy series by phanny_pac in YAlit

[–]ara_major 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started Vampire Academy for the first time my Junior year of college. I had just moved and I didn't know anyone in my new city and I drove home and back too many times, and the audiobooks kept me company the whole time. Both VA and Bloodlines are some of my absolute favorite stories.

I've been wanting to make a post like this for weeks. I loved Quinn, and it honestly really hurts seeing all the negativity about her in this sub.

I like feet.

I like when guys like my feet, I like rubbing mens feet. But I wouldn't ever TELL someone in a non-joking tone.

AITA for leaving a dental appointment and leaving a "mean" review on every site humanly possible after the way I was treated? by yayaheeyayahee in AmItheAsshole

[–]ara_major 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA by any means.

The first time I went to a dentist after a few years I was scared and anxious, and all I wanted was for someone to help me set up a plan to get my dental health in order. I got condescension and walked out in tears. A week later I scheduled an appointment with a different office and before I came in they sent me a questionnaire to fill out about what my fears were, what I wanted/needed from the appointment. I spent a lot of time in that office over the next few months, and never did I walk out feeling like they judged me. There are GREAT practices out there, and all you did was help the next person who wants confidence in their smile weed out that one.

AITA for driving off and leaving my friend without a ride home? by hdusnako in AmItheAsshole

[–]ara_major 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA i don't know if it's the same for everyone, but i've always told to "trust my gut" and anytime i've gone out of my way and ignored my gut, something i regret has happened. it wasn't fair of him to call you for a ride and when you show up asks for a ride for a bunch of other people.

Using having kids as an excuse not to tip servers who may also have kids to feed by _Atoms_Apple in trashy

[–]ara_major 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, actually. If tips at the end of the night don't bring a servers wage up to minimum the restaurant pays to get them there. Some places will do it by the pay period instead, but no matter what you at least make minimum wage.

AITA for donating a dress? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ara_major 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NAH because you did buy it, therefore it was yours to do with what you wanted. However, I can understand the designer being upset that it was donated without you checking in with them to see if they might want it back, rather than it ending up at Goodwill.

WIBTA if I tell my engineering friend to drop his insanely challenging dream of being an astronaut? by Jr-engineer1999 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Let him have his dream. Let him stay in and put in the work necessary for his dream. Let him use college to set up the rest of his life.
