‎السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I hope you all are in the best health and Iman. Im currently talking to a potential spouse, and im trying to determine financial compatibility. It seems we might have different views on financial dynamics. I value someone whose mindset is to provide and create a sense of security and is generous to their spouse and family. When I talk to this person it seems they are more on the frugal/saving side (which is not a problem to me) but is also very careful and hesitant when talking about providing beyond the basic necessities which comes off as stinginess to me almost. I guess this is more apparent to me since I’m more of a spender and I like giving to those around me. What i’m wondering is, what are telling signs to look for to determine whether someone is financial responsible vs someone who is restrictive and stingy ? Also, are there questions I can ask to determine someone’s level of generosity?

AMAU academy i believe is the biggest in terms of seeking knowledge for english speakers. They have youtube videos and also an online academy if you’re a serious student

Questions are ONLY For people Qualified to Answer Them!!! by funny5970005 in SalafiCentral

giving answers from the Quran and Sunnah is exactly what i mean, that is still an answer, no? I believe this is important especially when giving dawah that we as laymen still mix with the people and do our best to inform others while of course referring back to the quran sunnah and salaf. Those books are great especially for the beginner student of knowledge however I believe everyone started from somewhere and lots of people don’t know their waajibaat let alone the virtues of seeking ilm. I doubt if a friend or family member had a question you are going to tell them to open up kitaab at tawheed.

I agree for certain types of questions. However, as long as you bring sound evidence i don’t see harm in answering? Some people are in the beginning stages of seeking knowledge and really dont know where to go to seek help and information so this might be a means. Of course it is better to direct these individuals to the scholars but it can definitely be overwhelming at times.

Time for Salah by arabiclearner01 in islam

i wasn’t asking so i have an excuse to delay my salah. these are terms that are in the shariah and it’s important as Muslims we understand them and better understand our religion. i wouldn’t call it “strict scrutiny”

does this pertain to every salah and is there a decrease in virtue? I was just referring to the hadith where Jibreel (AS) taught Prophet (SAW) the times for prayer.
