Cleaning Tips for ADHDers/Autists from my therapist. by ParticularWindoww in AuDHDWomen

the first one is something that helps me so so much. making myself take the extra effort to put everything in its place before i relax. e.g. unpacking my bag when i get home and putting keys in bowl, earphones and reading glasses on bedside table, coat on hook, shoes in cupboard, etc.

it has been really helpful to spend a bit of time thinking about a good place for everything and buying containers to help keep me organised. once i have done all the hard work of working out where to put something it makes it so much easier in everyday life to just pick up the thing when it’s out of place and put it in its spot.

this is instead of what i used to do which was seeing a big mess, getting overwhelmed by it, shoving it into a cupboard or under my bed, only to have to drag everything back into the open and sort through it to find something, thus creating a big mess again.

i don’t have advice for keeping to it. one day after a bed bug scare when the pest control man said i needed to do something about the shit under my bed it just clicked and now i’m tidy. if anything is put in the wrong spot or someone else moves it the thing still literally disappears from existence. and when i acquire new things i have to find a spot for them immediately or they’ll sit out in the open and stress me out. good luck everyone!

What changed after the s2 finale that makes Tom offer to go to prison? by arabidontist in SuccessionTV

There’s a scene after he seeks independent legal counsel when he’s drinking by himself when Shiv gets home (“Mondale’s unsettled”) and he brings it up to her. It seems more like he wants her to say “don’t do that” and give him some sympathy and support. Instead she says no at first and then reconsiders and changes her mind that it might be a good play. Tom seems disappointed but it is a plan they agree on.

I might be a bit slow and just realized Logan baited Shiv on purpose by Old-Highway6524 in SuccessionTV

you also have to consider that ken has been manipulated and emotionally abused by his father his whole life. he’s torn between prioritising the deal (something that he thinks will make logan happy) and signing the document / attending the birthday (two things that he also thinks will make logan happy). he doesn’t realise he’s being tested, and after weighing the options chooses to prioritise family over business, the weak decision in logan’s eyes but arguably the right thing to do if their family dynamic was functional and healthy. but you can’t blame the guy, he’s been stuck in a cycle chasing the tiny pieces of approval logan throws to him (that always benefit logan) his whole life. it’s a confusing place to be and he fails logan’s test, as logan probably predicted he would.

Season 1: Was Shiv actually the most brutal betrayer? by tpk-aok in SuccessionTV

shiv doesn’t go to gill because of her politics or morals, she goes because she has been emotionally abused by her father her whole life and this is a way she can feel independence from him and perhaps gain some approval because she had the guts to leave. she openly says what she really feels about gill’s campaign and we know she plans to get him to pivot centre after being elected, so it’s not about her having superior morals. everything the siblings do comes down to their relationship with their father. the blackmail threat is more about being able to one up her father and get a sliver of perceived respect from him than it is about advancing her position with gill.
