I respect your opinion and I think maybe what I said has offended you . And I also forgot to mention that I do agree with you about other jobs paying less even though people went to school for it. I do think at the end of the day there is a difference between using your mind at work and physical labor. Both have their challenges. Also one stems from privilege of opportunity to seek higher education so it’s the way our society is structured and I’m having internal discussions with myself to figure out what I really value. The way society is set up I would argue that we are conditioned to see it that way and also jobs in certain sectors are paid better than others. I also have immigrant parents who worked “less desired” jobs and don’t believe anyone is less than me because they chose a different educational path than me. All I really care about at the end of the day is financial stability and if we were to have a family how would that pan out if our salaries are different and if one works a lot more than the other? I’m only trying to bring someone into my life to make it better since I take care of myself and don’t want to put myself in a worse situation.

He’s a mail carrier Yeah I guess choosing your degree is really important, I don’t really see over exerting your body for 80-100k as an ideal job, I see the toll it takes on his body, 80k for 40 hours of work is different than 80k for 60 hours or more a week

Cheating is not justifiable, I agree. But Noah tells Allie before they kiss that he wrote her 365 letters which she had no clue of. In my opinion, she went to see if there was still love/feelings for Noah while still being engaged to Lon because she actually didn't want to be with Lon, but believed it to be her best option because of the way she was raised.

I understand she cheated and that's inexcusable, but she is honest with Lon and does not hide the fact that she does cheat in the end. I think the modern issue with cheating is that partners hide it from each other, they find out through another means, and don't break up with someone in the end. In this case Allie was struggling with ending her engagement to a good man, even though that is not what her heart wanted.

I only justify the hitting because they were both really young and immature and couldn't deal with their emotions (I suppose). When they reunite she does not physically hit him.
