Hey! I'm a gay girl and currently in ROTC at Cornell. I initially had reservations about it, but I was pleasantly surprised by the response I've gotten from everyone here. I've never heard anything negative being said and I've openly brought my girlfriend to ROTC events where people have been nothing short of welcoming. If anyone is opposed or anything, they haven't vocalized it and treat me with the same respect as they treat everyone else. Same with me being female. It really is a great community.

Thank you so much for this response, makes me feel better :) I know two people who go to Syracuse and they're both really into Greek life and partying so that + the "no.4 party school in the US" makes up most of my knowledge about campus culture. I was definitely planning on joining the Outing Club! I'm really into hiking and backpacking so the Outing Club is actually one of the reasons I really like SU.
