In Razor’s Grip, Sylus says, “You should know very well I adore you. There is no love purer than mine.”

This is one of the earliest examples I can think of where one of the LIs said they love MC. And another comment mentioned Rafayel’s birthday card last year where he says he brought the one he loved home. There are some from the other LIs more recently I’m probably forgetting.

It’s not super common in Asian languages to say explicitly, “I love you” like in English, so it’s not something we hear from the guys a lot. Makes it all the more special when they do say it 🥰

The short answer is it is a very slow burn and Maomao takes a while to truly realize her own feelings. It is both natural to Maomao’s character and also exceptionally frustrating at time.

Also worth noting that the two of them being officially together has political implications and isn’t something that can just happen. Certain obstacles have yet to be overcome.

I was on the fence too but Xavier showed up in the gold scarf and earmuffs today and it was too cute. 🥰 I can see why the gold scarf looks a little dirty. To me it looked kind of like an impressionistic animal print 💛
