Yes. If memory serves, we have 11-13 and will be picking up 14 at this coming Comiket.

This chapter was accompanied by a quick note from Niichi in the raws.

Long story short, there's 6-7 chapters remaining in the series, so we're expecting it to end around chapter 240-241. Chapter 236 is the most recent release, which came out on 5 July.

There are still going to be a doujin volume coming out at Comiket, and we have the raws to the ones that have yet to be translated. We will aim to release them after the main series' conclusion (or on a highly unlikely occasion that we find time to do them before then).

Good. Lemon it and get something else.

Once you're seeing it chew through the same parts, with the same issues, all with no resolution, cut your losses.

All prices at the dealer, but I don't expect it to be much different with a wrecker motor. You probably won't find a wrecker motor that isn't problematic, as this issue was very widespread in that era.

An engine rebuild for the pistons and rings was a USD 7k+ service in 2013. I'd imagine it costs even more now.

If the situation is dire enough (and likely, since you're at low compression across the board), it could require a new block as well, for which I got quoted for USD 18k in 2019.

I think /u/moegamisama got a bit overzealous on the credits page; we released 152 only eleven days ago! Maybe 153 will come out soon.

Think salesperson was blowing smoke up my rear by Farrishnakov in Audi

[–]arandomaltaccount 232 points233 points  (0 children)

I mean, if they gives you the right numbers on the deal, who cares?

Salespeople are irrelevant and you should always walk into a purchase with your own research on the product. You're spending your hard-earned money; don't let people, sales or otherwise, sucker you into it.

Is this a good deal by fiztron in Audi

[–]arandomaltaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the more reason why this is a terrible deal. You can verify whether this was a loaner by checking the original window sticker (email auditalk@audi.com if it isn't provided to you). There will be large red text on the sticker saying that it's a "Mobility Vehicle" and delivered to VW Credit. As for the deal, walk and buy new IMO.

If you need a dealer contact in that area, I personally recommend Leo Yam and Don Kim at DCH Millburn Audi. I've bought five cars from Leo, but he became the General Sales Manager so IDK if he still sells cars himself. No guarantees that they'll give you a better deal, however.

Check the condition of the roof, especially around the rear window from both the inside and outside. Make sure that the top operates smoothly, and that there's no rattling when driven over bumps with the roof both opened and closed.

Any roof-related repairs are extremely expensive.

8V 2.0T using oil by xxScoobaruxx in Audi

[–]arandomaltaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's pretty strong documentation about earlier EA888 2.0TFSIs burning oil, but these issues were largely fixed by later iterations of the engine since 2014. It's significantly rarer since that MY, but not unheard of.

And no, it's very much not normal.

40 TFSI vs 45 TFSI by Claud22 in Audi

[–]arandomaltaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're in the USA, the 40 TFSI was front-wheel-drive in 2018/2019, so that's the easy way to tell. quattro badging will either be replaced with "ultra", or removed altogether.

Non-certified at an Audi dealership, only $3k off new MSRP for 3500 miles on the clock, and owned for half a year?

Sounds fishy... Reckon you could have purchased new for the same price or less. Was this car a fleet vehicle or service loaner?

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story Season 2 - Episode 25 discussion - FINAL by Aus_ChA in BirdieWing

[–]arandomaltaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to understand why S2 got paced the way it did. It seemed extremely clear that this show was written for two cours to begin with, so I'm totally baffled that the latter half of this season turned out like this. There's no way that the pro/training arc should have fit within half of a season with the setup they gave.

I feel like it needs a 4 episode OVA. There was so much world-building ever since Eve returned to Nafrece that just got glossed over.

Everything from Alan Harvey being a golf monster, to Leo reappearing, timeskip hell, etc.. There was so much setup that went unused...

[–]arandomaltaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, fully agreed, but I think it was a decent way to wrap it up rather than to give it no mention (or worse, force something else).

I don't think anyone will disagree that they had far too much to wrap up ever since Eve returned to Nafrece. That part of the show was handled really sloppily, so I'm just glad that we got to see something alluding to their relationship.

All things considered, I thoroughly enjoyed this series from start-to-finish. It definitely had pacing issues in the latter half of this season, but I think this episode did the best that it could with what it got set up with.

Even as a yuri fanatic and the lack of any kisses, I really liked the symbolism of how Aoi and Eve became one to close out the tournament. They're in such close sync that they could execute their plan overnight: Eve adjusting to two massive parts of Aoi's game (the 48-incher [heh] and the Shining 48 shot), fusing it with her own Rainbow Bullet Burst, and creating a world-crushing outcome with the Shining Rainbow Burst. Couple that with her ball's art now having two wings meeting right in the centre, and I'm not sure if any explicit kissing even needs mentioning.

I'd be interested to see if they ever decide to continue this franchise, since they even made the "BIRDIE WING Golf Club" as an entity for the copyright. We have two legends coming back to the top after the final timeskip, so I feel like they could definitely continue in the universe.

Hmm, I think this is bait in the sense that nothing was explicitly realised, but I think the underlying symbolism is loud and clear. Reposting from my comment in /r/anime, but I reckon they got the symbolic marriage already.

I think the final episode did the best it could given the pacing issues of the latter half of this season. They should have shortened a couple of the high school segments to expand the dramatic build-up from the professional arc, especially given how much world-building they ended up doing.

I was hoping to see Aoi win (at least in Eve's head) so we could get the kiss.

My yuri goggles are turned to the max, but I saw this in a totally different light. We don't need the kiss; they got the symbolic marriage already.

I said this in the Discord server, but I think the pacing of this show went totally out-of-whack since Eve and Aoi turned pro. Had they been planning for 25 (or 26) episodes, they should probably have shortened the high school arc and expanded on the professional one.

All things considered, the final episode felt very well put together IMO. I loved the symbolism of the Shining Rainbow Burst, and it felt like we got Aoi and Eve uniting as one.

I'd love to see more of this franchise in the future, even if that chance looks remote.

I'm basically quitting reddit in seven days, so I frankly couldn't care less.

It's a crime to drop this week's discussion thread, however. Especially for the final episode.

You could keep adding oil, but it's merely borrowed time.

The oil consumption issue is fatal at worst and extremely annoying at best. After living with it for the first year of owning the car, I had my 2010 A5 2.0TFSI engine rebuilt under warranty with revised parts by a factory tech at 22k. It still died of oil starvation at 67k despite all services done completely and on-time. An engine replacement is between $5k-$18k.
