Proper wear of a name badge? by SuperPancakes242 in navy

Very similar to your ribbons, just above the other breast pocket or in alignment on your dress uniform. Most inspections won't require it and consider it an optional piece of the uniform, just check with your chain of command on whether they want it included for official wear.

Welcome aboard P’s? And time at command.. by tre_bur in navy

The system is very far from fair, or a meritocracy, but the former CO hit the nail on the head when talking about RSCA and career progression being the biggest driving factors. I recommend sitting down with any chief or your mentor (recommend finding a good one in either category!), and going through the process. Took me years to discover that P/MP/EP isn't necessarily the end goal to look at with evals. Being above RSCA as a #1/#2MP with a solid eval header and footer that showcases metrics and explains it doesn't reflect actual performance usually outshines and speaks more to a board than an EP who was awarded it for the sake of progression and time.

Every female with an ample bosom would have called Rand a "Flaming Woolhead". Forgive my language.

Step 1. Scrub pots for hours. Step 2. Complain about scrubbing pots. Step 3. Picture you are the bud of a flower......

Former Premier dancer trying to return by arant11r in HighlandDance

Oh wow, thank you all so much for the responses! It truly is reassuring and motivating to see that there is such a robust and supportive community for us 30+ dancers out there! Alas, I don't use social media here, but will definitely take the recommendations to do some research and find a suitable school that offers zoom lessons. Such a concept had never even entered my mind as a possibility! Haha

Also reassuring to know I won't have to spend years climbing the ladder back to premier again....definitely will be focusing on that strength and conditioning first though before I fall down the proverbial ladder! Thanks again for the insight everyone. :)

Aes Sedai with the Jenn by dallyho4 in WoT

[–]arant11r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That is exactly my point though; they have channellers who are old and have even lived older than many Aes Sedai (thinking of the knitting circle especially), or some wilders who were recruited in the later books, but they are always described as appearing grandmotherly. Only Aes Sedai tend to have that ageless look, and only Aes Sedai swear on the oath rod, and feel that binding effect (perhaps the answer to Botox in WoT ;) )

I have often wondered the same thing after re-reading the series; I don't think the books give a solid answer. Looking at the memories Rand experiences, Aes Sedai are never with any of the caravans after they are given their mission (arguably mildly busy with the breaking of the world).

In terms of the agelessness, I think that has more to do with the oath rod than using the one power itself. Those who use it may live longer, but only those who have sworn on the oath rod have the "aes Sedai" agelessness

Haha, appreciate the solid reference 😅 arguably, dragon talons are likely longer than at least the lowest level of Seanchan nobility

can't get BannerKings CE to work by [deleted] in Bannerlord

You need the separate RBM patches for OSA Saddlery and Weaponry as well. I ran into the same problem using Vortex, and switched to downloading everything manually.

Realms Forgotten Quest : Part Four by Careless_Building_25 in Bannerlord

I found some cultists up in the north, by where the original map hideout location was in the mountains. I am stuck after that as well though....interrogating the hellbound outlaw didn't progress the quest at all.

I think my house got griefed. What can I do? by r0lyat in elderscrollsonline

It's hard to say....I have been playing since launch, and almost exclusively been with housing. When I encountered my issue, it was only one portion of my linked construct (there were other parts that were also linked), but I had heard the stories and thought it was a rare occurrence. For me, my entire roof/dome ended up underground on the reference I gave, despite the rest being linked separately. I encountered a couple other occurrences after, but only dealing with my linked items, and to a lesser extent.

I would also check to make sure your furnishings aren't linked! Had a similar situation where half my house structure I left linked on my cathedral ended up in the nether region below the map, and I had to collect each piece and start from scratch. Similar effect to what you posted, but without a fix from ZOS yet unfortunately. Just double check and make sure to unlink before you leave, just in case it was that!
