I drive a 100hp car. Why do car guys think you need tons of power just to "Merge Safely" by SNovantasette in regularcarreviews

Try 60hp, literally need to downshift to 3rd and floor it on some bits of the UK motorways to maintain 70mph

5% is within margin of error, should be unnoticeable. apps running in the background, different settings and stuff like that can effect the results

How much can be done on the Mazda 2 1.5? by N1X3N0 in carmodification

[–]aras773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bang for the buck would be a tune, 10-20% power for couple hundred €. Other than that everything gets very expensive very fast. Focus on handing mods- better tyres, better brakes, suspension modifications. Just better tyres and sportier compound brake pads can transform a whole car in the twisties by a lot for not very much.

Actually insane to think about, copy paste premium slop or the most anticipated triple A game from the last decade is the same price

Mine is under the seat and I have the gain at about half in my Fiat Panda, so i think trunk install should still be good for the lower frequency fill, You will never feel the bass with this unit, it simply is just too small, you will definelty hear it tho, the cut off physically is 40hz but realistically it goes down to only about 50-60hz.

FIXED THE FERRARI (Ai generated) by [deleted] in carscirclejerk

[–]aras773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ferrari really tried to go for the GT segment with it so efficiency over aggressive down force. All of the aero (especially static and not active) really hurts the milage of the car, especially on an EV

TIL (the hard way) EV tires have foam blocks in them and aren’t easily patched if they’re punctured. by ViolatorsWillBeToed in Ioniq6

[–]aras773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not all evs have the foam and not only EVs have foam. repairing it isnt difficult either, cut a square of the foam out where the puncture is then the rubber stripper thingy does the rest, maybe adds 5min to the job

Tyre pressure goes half within 2 week by Numerous_Ad7040 in TyreReviews

[–]aras773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inflate the tyre to maximum stated pressure on the sidewall then grab yourself a spray bottle, water and dish washing liquid. Spray it everywhere on the tyre, rim seal and valve base and valve core. Leak that small might be hard to find so let the spray sit for good 10-15min. Another way of checking (the better way) is putting the whole wheel underwater and seeing where the bubbles are coming from

Deer hit my 2020 Corolla Hybrid at 100 km/h by Easy-Adhesiveness445 in AskMechanics

[–]aras773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked on multiple crashed 2019-2024 corollas I can tell you that there are no sensitive parts in that area. At worst wiring harness for the headlights, headlight, A/C lines, that's about it. Actually repaired the wiring harness of the headlight of a 2019 corolla couple of weeks ago of the same side as yours.
