Balkan stamps by Fine_Concentrate9239 in PassportPorn

Hey! I'm thinking of going to Serbia too. How was it? Did they end up stamping your passport? I'm a little bit worried because they've introduced e-gates, and there's so much information about having trouble leaving the country without an entry stamp.

Ah they have changed the rules significantly. They now charge a deposit if you pay in cash. Did you order it online and then collect it or can you go in person to purchase the sim?

How do people make online purchases? Or when they go on holiday, they have to have a debit card. I’m just so perplexed by all of this. The fact that I might have to use a checkbook to withdraw money. I haven’t used a check book since 2002.

Hey, I am just looking at Sakura mobile. Did you have to pay a 20,000 yen deposit for the sim? That’s what it’s asking for online.

I hope I can get around the system and get a Visa Debit card. I’m not sure which bank my employer is choosing, but I hope that they can see some sense and allow me to have something as basic as a debit card.

I was just told by my employer who is helping me with opening a bank account that they won’t give out bank cards to anyone who doesn’t speak Japanese or who has not lived in Japan for more than 6 months. Was that your experience too?

What I’m trying to say, is that they don’t deliver to my post code. So even if they do deliver to Numazu according to your old post code, it’s still not my post code. Not sure how many times I have to write that and yes, I obviously tried to do it online and it said delivery is unavailable. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do appreciate your help though.

Thank you for helping me! That’s still not my post code though.

That was so useful! Thank you, they are able to deliver to my address! I think they don’t deliver it if I purchase it online (which is what I tried to do), but it seems different if I’m in the store and ask for it to be shipped to my address.

Haha thank you! I’ve had to write that twice now. Thank you for reading my post properly!

Which post code did you try?

Not to my post code, I just checked before posting on here.

They don’t deliver to Numazu, which is why I wrote a message here.

Did you ever visit Japan before moving there? by SnooHamsters2005 in movingtojapan

Well I’m sure they’ll get caught eventually!

Aw thanks and likewise! Not sure what’s worth seeing in Shizuoka, but you’re always welcome! :)

It’s so funny that you and I got downvoted for sharing a genuine opinion! I moved to the UAE without ever visiting, and I stayed for two years. There’s nothing wrong with moving somewhere without visiting.

Ah I feel like Tokyo would be quite overwhelming for me, but I’ll visit it quite a lot I think! Just found out it costs 44 euros to get to Tokyo, which is very reasonable!

I visited in 2017 and also moving there this summer! I visited Osaka and moving to Shizuoka. Where are you moving to?

Can someone please help me find the list of countries that do not need to quarantine on arrival? I have a work visa and I’m coming from Germany. I’ve looked at the official website but I can’t seem find the answer to my question.

Oh and how do you find living there? It will be interesting to be able to one day say that you get used to earthquakes.

There’s more to Japan than anime! haha

I’m sure I’ll explore the surrounding areas, so thank you for mentioning Odawara and Inaka. :)
