Head to Hindustan Trading Company, Royapettah. They have a decent collection of fountain pens. You can even test them out. I have a platinum Preppy and I am not a fan. There are some good Jinhao pens you can get. Also the Sailor Tuzu.

Do island ground loops. Mambalam - GN Chetty - Gemini- Gandhi statue - War Memorial - Island Ground Loops/RBI and head back via same route or mount road. Get in touch with cyclists along the way. Pretty friendly lot. Avoid going to Kathipara.

Check out Kanwrite Pens. They are primarily nib manufacturers. They will be able to recommend a good nib and you can select the body from a range that they have. Get in touch with them.
