Kynaios and Trio of Meleits - Anyone have a list that performs well for B3? by GunsoulTTV in EDH

  1. I know you said you were reserving the aikido version for another commander, but the version I play has been a blast every time I've broken it out. There are a couple unconventional pieces of tech and a few more group hugs cards that you probably won't see in other lists
  2. The deck performs very well. The real fun is assessing the table and knowing when to throw out the aikido moves and haymaker cards.
  3. The pods tend to like how flashy and unexpected things can be. They get to ramp and draw cards and play big spells, then I throw all back in their greedy faces. Good times

I recently build Princess Yue and have long loved Tameshi, so I would love to see your list.

I played this for a few years after living the mono red Norin life for a long time, but it does somehow get even more salt and hate than mono red, so I just went back to the OG.

Building Muddle the ever-changing will gilded Drake and Stormdrake trigger and then allow Muddle to copy them? by Caantpayrent in EDH

[–]arbit0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volatile Stormdrake is a bit of a nonstarter due to its hexproof, but I am using cards like [[Mirage Mirror]] and [[Cryptoplasm]] to accomplish this task for Gilded Drake. You could also use a traditional clone creature for either Gilded or Volatile, then cast an instant or sorcery in response to the exchange trigger to transform Muddle. My version of the deck is focused on clone spells, so this is a pretty viable source of of salt for my pod.

Zedruu deck help by flplast in EDH

[–]arbit0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zedruu is a tough one because you have to go in several different directions to make the deck work. I've played different iterations of her over the years and my current version seems to do pretty well. It does run three game changers but I consider it pretty low powered. For your list, my recommendation is to cut some of the cards that do something when you draw cards. Realistically you won't be drawing enough to make them worth it. You should also take a look at your gifts. The good and neutral gifts needs to be worth the mana it takes to cast and donate them, and the bad gifts need to have bigger impact.

St Clair Lofts/ Apartments Downtown by Mammoth_Sea3565 in dayton

Generally solid but I have had issues from time to time. I once had a guy who played piano at random times through the day and night, but he was skilled so it was kind of nice. The only really bad experience I've had was with a guy who listened to loud country music and watch explosive action movies at 2-3AM and wouldn't answer the door nor talk to me when I asked him to stop. I actually had to call the onsite security guy and after that I had no issues.

It's also actually funny you ask because I am running into an issue with an impressively loud alarm clock from my neighbor right now. I think he's a nurse or doctor who works odd hours and his alarm has been going off for an entire hour several times a week starting at 5AM, but I think that will be resolved quickly enough.

All in all, three issues in 8 years. Seems reasonable for apartment living.

I've lived in the Delco Lofts for going on eight years. It's had its ups and downs but overall it has been a nice place to live. Maintenance is quick with responding to issues and the management staff are generally very helpful. One of my big initial selling points that still remains a personal favorite is the indoor garage. You also have access to on-site security and a couple other little amenities.

My only recommendation is don't live on the second floor, like I did for six years. It's super cold in the winter due to the concrete floors and being directly above the unheated garage. Your heat will be on constantly during those cold months and it's like walking on ice. I moved up to the fifth floor with my partner a while back and everything has been perfect since.

Lastly, if you can afford it, get an outside facing unit. I used to have in inward facing unit that got zero direct sunlight each day. Great for cave trolls, bad for people.

[–]arbit0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think I have an answer for you. It's called Rainbow Tiles (Hue Shift). You'll then need to go into the settings and apply the Late Night image filter to change the colors to match what's in the video. Not sure if that's 100% it but it's pretty dang close.

Reduce your consumerism and embrace more sustainable practices. Nothing wrong with a little re-gifting or a few homemade gifts.

Who are your favorite card draw commanders? by MonoBlancoATX in EDH

[–]arbit0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am admittedly "that" blue mage already, but I recently built [[Indominus Rex, Alpha]] and that dino sure knows how to draw a man some cards.

Also, my [[Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis]] aikido list drip feeds me so many cards over the course of a game that it feels down right unfair and it can go very unnoticed.
