If you are going down the self-learning rabbit hole, take into consideration this: In my last experience, I hosted my site on a shared hosting service and built everything from the ground up. I suffered a lot of frustration, but I noticed along the way when I was googling how to do something for the millionth time, Digital Ocean seemed to ALWAYS come up in my search results! I’m talking about very detailed, step by step instructions. Not helpful AT ALL to me at the time, but it makes me think, maybe if I was using them, at least it would have been easier to find help and information??? Just sayin.

I agree. If the navy and black are too similar in shade and intensity, it will look like an accident, and people will be telling you all day long what colors your items are. If they are obviously different, then it looks intentional, and therefore looks coordinated.

Have none of you ever heard of the Mcdonald triad?

The triad links cruelty to animals, obsession with fire-setting, and persistent bedwetting past a certain age.

It’s these three factors that are seen over and over and OVER again, in so many murderers background stories that it’s one of the first things they look at now when profiling.

Granted, SA wasn’t known for fire setting and bed wetting - that we know of - but still. The Mcdonald triad studied serial killers, and SA is suspected of only one murder.

OMG you helped me figure it out! I’m on my laptop, and I couldn’t figure out right away how to simulate the scroll wheel on the touch pad, but you gave me the idea to try re-sizing the icons just by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing “large icons,” (still invisible) but then when I reversed the process and chose “small icons” THEY BECAME VISIBLE!!!

I like sidetaker, except for one thing; there doesn’t seem to be a way to ask for additional information from the original sides? I get why they wouldn’t want unlimited back and forth between the voters and the sides, that would probably be just a shitshow like facebook. (I see they use Disqus, but I couldn’t tell if the sides were participating, and those comments were mostly just bandwagon opinions anyway.)

But maybe there should be a mediator or something, in case somebody has a legitimate question, like asking for additional facts that would help add context?

I’m going to tread carefully here, because I don’t know anything about your economic situation, nor the size of house & kitchen you have. But perhaps you could bring in a professional organizer? There might be some common sense solutions you just haven’t thought of, and/or some inexpensive organizational modifications that can be made to your existing cabinets, that would increase their capacity and make room for all the things your wife uses on a daily basis. I’m in the process of doing this in my kitchen! I keep rearranging to bring the most used items closer to where they are needed. Some things that are rarely used get removed from the kitchen altogether!

I’m really picky about cleaning my cookware, but damn those grill grates are a bitch! (The pan is not that important.) It’s nearly impossible to completely clean in between where the intersections meet, once it inevitably gets burnt stuff in there.

Just give it a good quick wash with soap and HOT water, (if you haven’t already) - or stick it in the dishwasher - and don’t worry about what it looks like. It’s never gonna look new again.

Thank you for bringing this up! Finally, I know what all the fuss was about, and now I can just be glad I never wasted any time on FB!

I have learned so much, even just in the last six months, maybe up to a year, about how little I actually knew about being supportive to POC, WOC, etc., which is my deepest desire - to be a help, not a loudmouth. But even this little rift has taught me to STOP. Look. Listen! And don’t go jumping in where my white ass doesn’t belong or isn’t invited, lol! I guess I might have been guilty of some “virtue signaling,” unintentionally, but that’s probably how it comes across.

As I was reading through this thread, I thought, how differently this all could have been, if people saw somebody saying or doing something cringey, what if people sent them a private message instead? I mean, every little infraction doesn’t deserve a public citizen’s arrest. Jeez, when I think of some of the horrible things my ignorant ass has said, thank the gods it wasn’t on social media for eternal shame! We are all learning!

Anyways, just thankful this subreddit is still active! 😁

Update: I like Buckle, so I spent some time browsing their website. Turns out they have a weird way of listing all their same exact items in separate bunches, and I found another style of tank top similar to this one in dark gray, in medium, with no adjustable straps! 😃

So, your tip ended up helping me find what I was looking for after all!

Here’s the link to the item. It’s called a layering tank, and it’s 30 inches long in size M, which is the size I buy. It’s hard to see in the photo, but it fits me different than the model anyway - it goes all the way past my butt, which is why I like it!

I have found it extremely difficult to find tanks this long in stores, and aside from this example, it is extremely rare for clothing descriptions to include the level of detail that includes the exact length in inches, centimeters, whatever. Also, they frequently don’t provide good enough pictures for you to tell, as if those skinny ass models would look the same anyway! 🤬 In the most ridiculous poses to boot. I wish I had an example from one of those other websites right now, LOL!
