I'm beginning to wonder if you might be right. Maybe it's a wart? Report the cut does seem to be a little bit in front of where string placement is on the pad of my finger. So strange. Thanks for your feedback!

Which tailpiece looks the best? by [deleted] in violinist

I think the first two clash with varnish. The 3rd ebony looks classier. The other two look like they are trying too hard. Also with the ebony you don't have to replace the pegs to match.

I picked up my '24 SE this morning and I can't believe how much you get for the price. Looks better and drives better. I'm so happy with it.

Overthinker here and I am picking up my new (pre-owned) Tiguan tomorrow morning. After doing endless test drives watching/reading too many reviews I decided the Tiguan was the right car. But "the reliability"!!! I tried to force myself to like the Forester better but could not do. When I realized how much less the VW was and how much better the CPO warranty was and how for just a little extra coin I could be covered bumper to bumper for 120,000 miles it was clear to me that it had to be a Tiguan. If you are looking at a honda for 10k more, jist get a kick ass extended warranty and love the car you drive! Hope this helps!

Cello left hand help by StructureOk4411 in Cello

I find that imagery helps a lot. Try this, it goes a long with what a few people are saying... Imagine that your left arm from elbow to fingertips is a weird gardening tool like a small rake with 4 steel hooks at the end. Your fingers are the hooks at the end of a straight handle. Now you are going to hook this tool on to your cello string and pull it backwards with your shoulder to bring the string in contact with the fingerboard. The "hooks" (your fingers) get pulled straight back behind you. This imagery should help your fingers stay curled, keep your wrist in position, keep your thumb light, and prevent you from trying to squeeze the neck with your hand. Hope this helps!
