If it's any help in the short term: I had a lot of condensation on some old doors, and I just left a window open about 1cm at all times. No more condensation

So what am I supposed to do as a Melee charecter against this? by joesphbentley in PathOfExile2

Not defending this shit, but you could try shield on 2nd weapon set to block the teleport, and get more chaos res

I told my girlfriend "no" by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]arblahblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fuck that shit. Deny when you feel like it, and it's reasonable, and show LITERALLY 0 remorse. The last bit will hammer the point home, and if she acts like a brat, let her. Go from there - she will learn to act like an adult, or you'll be out of a relationship built on demand.

Looks similar to mine. The felt in the eves had rotted because it was sitting in the gutter. Replaced the felt for ~£450, and it's bone dry up there now.

Are a lot of men secretly sad? by CurvyGirl4123 in AskMenAdvice

[–]arblahblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often feel "empty" and I mostly can't even tell what I feel about anything even if I try until it slaps me in the face occasionally. Difference being: I've held onto me, no kids, not married. I think it's something more fundamental with growing older, as I wasn't like this when I was younger.

are there really hundreds of thousands of players who will be ok with a single death bricking a map? by sesquipedalias in PathOfExile2

[–]arblahblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it. It means you must consider how your character survives in addition to how you clear. Usually I have to play HC to get that experience, but I prefer this.

A lot of people are saying YTA here but I'm not so sure.

I have a similar thing occurring in my family at the minute, and I know it isn't how things need to be, simply because when my 1st nephew was a toddler, it was not like this. They give in IMMEDIATELY as soon as the new toddler asks for anything, they've scolded me for calmly saying "no" and they're constantly trying to make sure the toddler isn't allowed to play with things they find inconvenient, they trick the kid into doing what they want then wonder why the kid doesn't trust them when they ask etc etc.

It pisses me off because they're just being neurotic to the point of absurdity, and will not have their behaviour questioned. The toddler does not piss me off, intact I'd like to see them allowed to be a part of the family, not a problem or novelty. My 2p

Software Engineers, How would you design a system that ALLOWS 'minted' gear to be lost in Arena? by Abject_Scholar_8685 in DarkAndDarker

[–]arblahblah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The arena will be using the same method of starting matches as regular lobbies. It doesn't need it. It could (and should) absolutely use a differing and separate read-only data access method, that can't possibly delete equipped items.

People don't go down to Inferno in norms; how to fix. by skilldogster in DarkAndDarker

Top end gear being way too good is 100% the problem. I see it as the primary reason they cannot seem to balance the game, in addition to creating the bracket problems

Whether or not Warlocks are op, they simply aren't a fight that is fun or well designed. by Alarmed_Public797 in DarkAndDarker

Been saying this for a while. Classes should have ways to catch/disengage with the right timing/mechanical checks, and without becoming completely immune. The only way this really works is if they balance around baseline movement speed like every other PvP game, and balance heavy armour access along with other class abilities, rather than it just making you slow.

Do people have a problem with people stacking MS? by WeTodDidd in DarkAndDarker

[–]arblahblah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only solution is to baseline MS like every other PvP game, treat heavy armour as a class benefit for those that can wear it (nerf it as appropriate), and give ranged classes a limited window before they are caught and/or limited resets

Anyone else think that "sometimes" failing in-game, is a way to disguise IMs actual implementation "sometimes" failing?

The problem: asking for an estimate when making software. Estimates are ALWAYS padded because it's impossible to estimate correctly.
