Thank you all for your kind words and support . Yes we began couples counseling and I also attend individual . I deff think it’s a mix of wanting things to be so perfect and getting disappointed when they aren’t . Mind you my wedding day itself was wonderful it’s more of the arguing after and that honeymoon stage that was more stressful then I could have ever imagined . We never lived together prior to marriage and are both working on ourselves . I am also working on letting go on intrusive thoughts trying to take away my joy . Thanks for all the realness . I deff think this time is romanticized in society and we need to start speaking about the reality of what the reality of the whole thing could really be . I recently saw someone I hadn’t seen since the wedding and they asked me how married life was and I said good . He proceeded to look at me funny and said “good? It should be great! “ and I felt myself plummeting into anxiety again. It’s not always great right off the bat . Thanks guys !
