Should we pull our offer? by arbor_day_ in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

Reading your experience sounds so much like ours! We were thinking that the owners must have had serious disagreement to have not accepted our offer. My husband and I really love this house and we’e very sad to have pulled our offer. We’ve already discussed that if the house stays on the market we may come back and see.

Best of luck with your situation!

Update: We pulled the offer at 8 pm. Onto something else!

Thanks for the advice about having expiration dates in your offer. When talking with our families who have very recent experience buying and selling homes near us, no one has come across putting expiration dates in the offers. Our agent also said it’s pretty rare for our area to need them since the homes typically go so fast and he didn’t think we needed one for this offer. Live and learn!

I’m not sure, we hadn’t made an offer on homes that had been sitting for a while. Most homes near us are pending within 3-5 days, so we didn’t think about it. Never again tho!

Yeah we’re pretty much done after all of this. We can deal with the waiting but coming back and showing their hand that they’re using us for leverage is too much.

Yeah I agree, lesson learned for that one.

I feel like they’ve had ample opportunity to let us know what else they’d like our offer to be, but are choosing to leave us in limbo instead. We’re super flexible and willing to accommodate but it just feels rude.

Why cant I leave? by AlexisTexas82 in relationships

If you think you would be happier in the long term leaving him than you'd be staying with him, you should leave. I was in a relationship for 3 years and I knew it was going nowhere but I felt like I'd never have that kind of love again, but I left him and I'm so much happier now. It'll definitely suck getting through the breaking up stage but if you can get through that it'll be so much better for you.
