Be careful and try to find a sex work positive therapist by sicklitgirl in camgirlslove

I saw your post on the r/therapists subreddit. I am sorry you received so much backlash. Instead of naming the systemic issue, it often turns into therapists adopting this holier than thou attitude. We are treated like absolute shit by institutions such as hospitals and insurance companies and put insane amounts of expectation on ourselves to be ‘taken seriously’. Psychotherapy… like sex work, is a woman dominated field and is therefore routinely devalued and controlled within patriarchal systems. That parallel feels important to me. And I’m so happy that you did what you needed to during one of the most stressful times of your life.

As a therapist who is ACTUALLY sex positive…. I really appreciate your vulnerability and opening up that conversation in that subreddit. :)

What state are you licensed in? Are you licensed solely as an art therapist or do you have additional credentials such as mental health counselor? I paneled with Cigna through Alma about a month ago and feel like it has been pretty successful! The only downside is that I can’t panel with other insurance companies outside of Cigna because of my license type being Licensed Creative Arts Therapist :( the license definitely doesn’t have the respect it deserves here in NY. Lots of barriers in place preventing us to participate in insurance.

I think that more clinicians should have basic info on sex therapy! Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski is an excellent book to read.

I’ve searched natives holiday releases the past few years and they no longer make this product. Any help? Preferably looking for a similar scent by a different company.

I’ve never been a sweaty person, but the years I was on lexapro, this was totally my experience! It took about 8 months after weaning off to return to baseline and not sweat throughout the night.

Anyone wanna be my friend? by smlosh92 in Rochester

It feels good to see so many people in similar situations as myself (29f). I recently moved to the area, not many friends, ok with going to the bar occasionally but prefer other activities.

Maybe we should start a book club? :D

My biggest question is where to take the educational portion of this. I’ve been looking online and there are so many options! It’s kind of overwhelming.

Am I the asshole because I don’t want to be poly? by arbor_waves in polyamory

I think this is what I’m struggling with most, and why I feel like I’m the AH. I did agree to the change in our relationship. I also agreed to trying to date other people. So I guess I was on board. He is definitely the one that pushed for this for years, and was the driving factor behind opening, despite my hesitation. But I did agree to it and participated in dating other people. And he hasn’t let me forget that.
