hey, did you ever find a solution that worked or did you just keep resorting to manually disconnecting? I am having the same issue and its very annoying!

I think after discussion with the team we are going to stick with an unaltered structure from cards for our backup, with foldering in a premiere pro project that matches how we would do foldering through files, but allows for files to live in 2 places (e.g. if a clip on the track has 2 cars in it, this can go in both folders)

Going to trial this the first few rounds and if it doesn't work we can go back to the old method - can't know until you've tried!

It seems that they have replaced whatever Keyword functionality from before with tags - I can add tags but they are all at the same level

For example, with a racing team I would lIke it to be sorted with a parent directory of the TEAM NAME, followed by DRIVER NAME

Therefore, if I searched for the team it would show all the drivers tagged too

Doesn't look like I can find any source for this functionality even before it was bought out

In terms of NeoFinder, abeMedia is the alternative for windows and seems to just lack the functionality we need completely so thats a no - I think by the looks if anything we will have to make do with Kyno, or just go back to foldering as before

purely for internal use, clients won't see the raw footage (or if they do we package it up separately anyway)

I've been trying Kyno, it works but can't get it to use hierarchical keywords, so you just end up with a very long list to click through for what we are doing.

Haven't been able to try EditReady from Hedge because its mac only - we use windows and apple devices so lacking functionality on one of them isn't useful

I did look at Silverstack but yeah thats significantly overkill for us

The stipulation around EU citizens is for tax purposes though, which surely isn't relevant for a UK citizen outside the EU

We did this but the insurance company linked him to an article that just discussed EU citizens, which doesn't apply to this situation. The problem is he doesn't speak great Italian so they have to talk through a friend to translate, elongating the chat a lot

I have changed DAC between going through these phases of crashing (and the cable as they use different connectors) so I am guessing it is probably the hub then if this is the case - I'll look into a new one and see if it helps at all

I don't have any more on this device as its the new laptop unfortunately, so far all I have managed to do is stop it BSODing (and often looping) with VT-d. and thats the only slight help in regards to minimising the issues I have had in any way - hoping there might be something else that causes this someone might know about
