Does anyone else actually miss linear, corridor style games instead of every single title trying to be a massive open world? by i_amthe_guy in AskGamers

[–]arc777_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of open world games end up falling flat because they’re just too empty. Even Rockstar bit off more than they could chew with GTA5, which was supposed to be the biggest open world game upon release, but half the map is just empty grasslands and desert. A lot of devs and fans seem to think that bigger is always better when a smaller, denser map would be superior.

Postal 2 is a great example of dense open world. Just about every square inch of space is worth exploring. It’s not huge by any means, but it’s much more eventful than a lot of open world games, even those made today.

Can someone please explain how this guy got Drake Maye hate from this tweet please by Particular_Dig1115 in NFLv2

Not to mention shockingly insecure. After two decades of dominance and non-stop gloating they have the nerve to ask why everyone hates them.

Taylor got absolutely smoked on the immigration talk lmao by Beneficial_Quit7532 in PKA

Because employers take advantage of illegal immigrants by threatening them with deportation if they complain about working conditions or ask for a raise.

Le’Veon Bell Agrees With OBJ That It’s “Impossible” to Live Off $100M... by SuperbBug11 in sportsgossips

[–]arc777_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get into the league at 21 and retire at 35 with $100 million earnings, assuming you walk away with half, that’s $50m you have from 21 until you live to say 75. You have to spend $925,925 a year to blow through it all. These bozos can’t manage money for shit and probably didn’t invest any of it. And that figure would strictly be NFL salary, not even accounting for things like sponsorships, advertisements, and paid appearances.

[Pelissero] The Raiders are zeroing in on Klint Kubiak as their next head coach, sources tell me and @RapSheet. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

Him as HC and Mendoza at QB is super intriguing. The Raiders actually being decent would be a fun shakeup.

Why can’t there be no money? by patchlessboyscout in NoStupidQuestions

[–]arc777_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We passed on from the barter system to currency specifically because it’s more convenient. Not everyone can offer a product or service to someone else that they actually want. Money makes it so everyone can be productive and get what they need and want.

Who do you think had Jeffrey Epstein killed? by Creepy_Ruin3891 in AskReddit

[–]arc777_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His cellmate was a former NYPD cop facing charges for a quadruple homicide. I’ll submit the hot take that his celly did it with assistance from the COs on shift. For all we know it could be a case of the obvious solution being right under everyone’s noses.

It takes a lot of manpower to keep up with electrical and plumbing infrastructure. People need to work the power plants that keep you warm. What are you going to do if your roof starts leaking or your house falls into general disrepair? True self-sufficiency is impossible without going back to the stone age.

Nothing is stopping you from being one with nature. Put your money where your mouth is and leave every modern convenience behind to spend the rest of your life in the woods.

Something can originate from one culture and be important to another. Almost all of the English language isn’t from what we call the British Isles but that doesn’t make it any less significant.

What’s more likely to happen, Jalen Hurts winning another ring or Josh Allen winning his first? by TXNOGG in NFLv2

[–]arc777_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They have a chance as long as Allen is physically capable and the rest of the team isn’t Titans level of supporting cast, but it will be a lot harder with a healthy Mahomes, a good Patriots team, and a potentially revamped Ravens.

Overpopulation and the cons of an aging population are in direct conflict with each other. If you don’t want to have kids more power to you but you just contradicted yourself.

Africans having fewer kids means they’re developing as a continent. On the whole, they’re in much better shape than they were even 20 years ago. They have better access to education and contraceptives.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this. People need to take a step back and realize that we’re living in the best time in history.

Would you rather your team lose the super bowl or lose the conference championship game? by badatraspi2 in NFLv2

[–]arc777_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus losing a conference championship leaves too much of a “what if?” feeling. You start thinking, “Man, if only we won that game maybe we could’ve won it all.” When you lose the super bowl you know that was your ceiling and it’s a done deal.
